No one is questioning if Billboard will let them re-enter, though. They're only questioning if sales will be high enough for them to get enough points to re-enter.

Well yeah I would assume that they will get enough. There are still 3 Missy Elliott songs in the top ten on iTunes and I'm sure that streaming for her songs also spiked due to the Super Bowl performance so I can see top 40 maybe even top 30. I don't really see any point of letting any song re-enter so many years later when it's pretty clear that they'll just fall back out 1-2 weeks later...

It's a rule, and the chart is a snapshot of the most popular songs that week, and if Missy has enough points, she's in... the fact that it will fall out in the coming weeks is irrelevant to the chart and its rules.

In that case what would be the point of having a recurrent rule at all then?

It's to keep the chart as fresh and current as possible lol. I'm kinda on the fence with the recurrent rule. In some ways I agree with it but in others I don't.

In some ways I agree with it but in others I don't. Same. On one hand, it's nice to give the new songs a chance to enter, but on the other hand, the chart is supposed to reflect that weeks most popular songs. At least they have a recurrents chart.

Is there any info on what every act will be performing at the Grammys tonight? That way we can prep a pre-show listing. Thanks. :)

Why are big music events such as the VMAs and the GRAMMYs always on Sunday? (Monday night 2:00 for me). That's so annoying, I have to wake up early to go to school.

That's so annoying, I have to wake up early to go to school. because they know billboard tracking for sales ends on Sunday night, so they can get a full week of Grammy effect and maybe a little on the 2/28 chart as well. Opposed to it being on like a Wednesday or Saturday.

If the Grammys were on a Saturday night, it would have even lower viewership than it already does.

I'd just put their current single or/and any nominations they have.

If someone wants to list the related albums for the performers, where applicable, and their current rankings, that would be great. :)

Sunday night is a big TV night, it is all about ratings I think, ratings will be higher on Sunday as opposed to Wednesday or Saturday

^You got your wish - it's #1 now.
For the record: "By The Grace Of God" isn't in the top 1500 right now.

Katy Perry's tune is top 60.
Of note is that two Madonna tracks, if they become available at midnight, will take up space high in the rankings as instant-grat tracks.

^Oohhh (I don't think I'm going to listen to them until the album is released). On a related note, I think the "Living For Love" remixes are out tomorrow (if they're not available already).
