Apparently they announced this as the second/third single awhile back.

They are choosing the worst choices IMO from this album to be singles.

I said to myself after first reading this thread yesterday how sad it is that the quality of their music has fallen from what they had earlier on in their career.

The album isn't that bad. It's what you've to come to expect from Saliva. This song was the best choice for the third single, but I'm guessing it'll do next to nothing.

It's very similar sounding to "Blood Stained Love Story" & "Cinco Diablo." They stood out from the pack more when they had that southern tinge.

I like the instrumental part of this song better than most Saliva songs in the last five years. The clean guitar lick and electronic drum beat in the verses are really nice. Everything else about the song is really unremarkable though. Still a better than average Saliva song imo and one of the best I've heard since BSLS and Cinco Diablo took them pretty far downhill in my book.

I can't say I didn't see this coming, but I was always hoping they would leave Island and start writing solid albums again on a different label. I am quite a bit surprised to read that Josey left to start a solo Christian career. I've just never heard that aspect anywhere in Saliva's music, unless he's born again. That in itself might be interesting. Stryper is the first thing that comes to mind, but we'll have to see how this goes.

How can this topic have existed for so long without anyone saying Blue October remake?
Or is that lame now? :/ Am I that far behind?

I was hoping some comrades would have a snide response to the thread title.

Yeah, I read about that yesterday and gave the same rolling eyed response that you did. Josey leaving the band was probably the death to them as far as popularity.
