Who is this loon acting like Beyonce won't cross 1 million? BTINH hasn't peaked yet, she has AT LEAST 1 more radio song on the album ("Countdown" and maybe "End of Time", and she will likely see a boost during the holiday/award season.

Anyway, the idea that Beyonce will drop by 20k in the next two weeks makes no sense to anyone who's followed album sales. The percentage will get smaller each week and thus the actual # dropped will also get lower since the starting figure is reduced significantly. Baysiclee for those who cannot comprehend, dropping 20% from 55k produces a smaller drop than dropping 30% from 75k.

Not that I agree that bey won't cross 1M because I see 1.5M but bringing up other irrelevant stuff is so silly.

There have been lots of albums that debut strong then get weaker.....Im not going to name any names but all Im saying is it wouldnt be suprising if that happens with 4 also

Hmmm the real album to watch this week is Back To Black. Anyone have recent Soundscan figures?

Hmmm the real album to watch this week is Back To Black. Anyone have recent Soundscan figures? What a coincidence! :o Amy Winehouse's Billboard U.S. Chart History July 23, 2011 By Gary Trust, New York Amy Winehouse, who died on Saturday, had a strong history on Billboard U.S. charts despite releasing just two albums -- the Grammy-winning "Back to Black" and her 2003 debut, "Frank" -- during her career. "Back to Black" reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in March 2008, almost a year after it debuted, spending 78 total weeks on the chart. It's sold 2.3 million to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan."Frank" is her only other Billboard 200 entry, having debuted and peaked at No. 61 in December 2007. It's sold 307,000 units. As for her singles, "Rehab" peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 2007 and has sold 1.7 million downloads. Her only other Hot 100 hit, "You Know I'm No Good," reached No, 77 in 2008 and has sold 729,000. The songs were biggest at adult alternative radio, peaking at Nos. 7 and 2, respectively, on Billboard's Triple A airplay chart in 2007. "Rehab" also rose to No. 13 on Pop Songs and No. 14 on Adult Pop Songs. In a statement issued Saturday, Recording Academy president Neil Portnow said: "Five-time Grammy winner Amy Winehouse was a dynamic performer and musician who seamlessly blended rock, jazz, pop, and soul and created a sound all her own. Her rich, soulful and unique voice reflected her honest songwriting and earned her a devoted fan following, critical acclaim, and the genuine respect and admiration of her musical peers. She will forever be remembered for her immense talent, and her music will live on for generations to come. Our deepest sympathies go out to her family, friends, and fans during this difficult time." --------------- I would love for "BTB" to near 3 million (though it'll be sort of a challenge) and "Frank" to go Gold this year.

I can see Back to Black selling 300k or so through the end of the year I think. But still, it's very hard to tell without seeing even a full day's sales impact. It will also depend if they push out that inevitable third album by later this year, the Back to Black follow-up is supposedly done.
Frank should easily get a new Billboard 200 peak this week or the following week.

Is it possible Back To Black to finally make #1 on BB200? This week she just needs to sell 70k. Or maybe the week after? Frank will also make a new peak (#61) on BB200.

I think the following week she will have full sales. I mean, Kelly rowland is releasing but I'm not sure if she would be a threat so the following week I expect Adele and Amy both in the top 3. That is unless, she is selling like crazy now to hit #1 based on a few days.

If the number 1 album is only 60k, then it's not like it's some crazy tough week to hit #1. (I don't think she will, just saying)

Wouldn't it be ironic that BTB finally hits #1 now? Tragic. It is #1 on iTunes and they do have that huge splash page. Would not be surprised.

Amy's never been that big in the US. She's probably more known there for drugs than her actual music. Expecting this to go no. 1 is a little on the wishful dreaming side.

It won't go #1, a day and a half would not be enough, even with the low sales week. The only way this would be #1 the following week is if her death remains front page news for that long, not sure I see thathappening
