Holy shit. I always thought this could happen, though never really expected to read that. I saw Reba tweet about this, and said "what?!" aloud. Crazy.

Love both of her albums. I'll echo what everyone else has sad. It's always a huge loss in the industry when a truly talented woman like Amy dies. What a waste of potential. I'm gutted. This. :'( My sister just called me to inform me. "Back to Black" was a truly amazing effort and it's a damn shame that there will be no follow-up.

She was so talented. Amazing voice and ability to interpret a song. Addictions can be so hard to beat. Such a shame. RIP Amy. So sad.

Waste. Too bad she couldn't be "saved." I hope Charlie Sheen (and those around him) is listening to the news today.

sad news for the music industrie, a talented artist just died but this was expected, she'll join the likes of Janis, Jimmy, Jim...but unlike them her discographie will remain limited which is a shame.

Is anybody really shocked by this?
I mean most people picked her in their death pools at other forums. It's sad. RIP.

I will always hear her voice, so sweetly somber.

I am always shocked when someone dies because I prefer to have hope for recovery than expect failure, having dealt with addiction myself. Marlee Matlin said this perfectly. I somewhat expected this would happen, but I remained hopeful, too. That is, ultimately, what made this shocking.

I was also somewhat hopeful, deep inside, that she would recover, now seeing that didn't happen as well as receiving the news of a singer's death was what made it the most shocking for me :(

Shame. Unsurprising. Kinda shocked, but not really. It was ultimately inevitable (well, death always is, but you know what I mean).

RIP Amy. It's such a shame things turned out the way they did for her. She was talented.

Wow, I can't believe I'm reading this. Such a talented lady, it's very unfortunate that drugs finally took her life. RIP Amy.

What a waste of true talent. Very sad, and sadly expected. RIP. Yeah. Basically. I can't say I'm surprised, but it's still kinda shocking in a way.

I was kind of shocked because last I heard, she was doing well with her recovery. Her career was truly frustrating.....it sucked watching all of that talent go down the drain. RIP

Yeah. It was either promo for "Rehab" or "You Know I'm No Good". There are soooo many references to death, in ways that you'd probably barely even pick up on when she was alive.
