What struck me about those numbers was the fact that E.T. did the worst of the first four at AC and Hot AC radio. Considering the airplay and success, particularly of CG and F, I would have expected even higher AIs If you look at the spin numbers, E.T. did almost as well on HAC, but Adele blocked it. On Pop and Rhythmic however, it did a lot better. HACCalifornia Gurls #1 (9 weeks) (4,692 spins) Teenage Dream #1 HAC (4 weeks) (4,218 spins) Firework #1 HAC (5 weeks) (4,556 spins) E.T. #2 HAC (4,390 spins) RhythmicCalifornia Gurls #4 (4,996 spins) Teenage Dream #12 RHY (2,870 spins) Firework #7 RHY (3,613 spins) E.T. #1 RHY (4 weeks) (5,335 spins) PopCalifornia Gurls #1 (7 weeks) (13,240 spins) Teenage Dream #1 (4 weeks) (12,963 spins) Firework #1 (4 weeks) (13,885 spins) E.T. #1 (6 weeks) (14.780 spins) For comparison, LFN so far is #4 on HAC with 4201 spins, #10 on Rhythmic with 3270 spins, and #1 on Pop with 14935 spins. LFN will be #2 on HAC by Sunday.

JLS is super disappointing... I feel like those dudes are super talented, but their music is often such s**t. I did love "Eyes Wide Shut" with Tinie Tempah, though. the only two songs i like from jls are the club is alive & eyes wide shut but i could see them making more songs i like in the future

Wow, I Wanna Go is doing very well. Could it be her biggest airplay hit to date?

LFN, I believe, sees its smallest increase (or one of them) to date- is it nearing its peak, or is it a fluke?
"I Wanna Go" is doing very well with its gains- if it maintained its current level of gains for the next 10 days, it would just about match TTWE in Mediabase airplay. The airplay success doesn't seem to be impacting album sales too much, though, which isn't that shocking, as there's a limit to her potential in attracting new consumers (same goes for the single sales). BTW- that is not shade, just a realistic observation. :)

She reached 14,900 spins yesterday on Pop, theres not really anywhere to go from there, her AI now will mostly be from HAC and Rhythmic.

If it gets the same spins/station as E.T., it could get 15000, but that's it. That's at most another 1 million AI from pop.

I don't think in my entire life I've ever seen radio be so friendly to "pure" dance/pop style songs. In ten years I think the period of 2008-2012 (or whenever a new trend emerges) will be considered a golden age of dance-pop.

Just curious -- Selena Gomez's last single was able to get around 30m I think, so why is Love You Like a Love Song doing so poorly on airplay? The song (and album) are selling pretty well.

^The song was never officially released to radio because her label is stupid. When asked, their reason was they wanted to wait until "Who Says" was completely through with its airplay. Well, what are they waiting on, for it to drop all the way to 0.000? ??? Slizzard, how dare you shade Rihanna!

KERLI- Army Of Love= 0.075 (-0.006) Just heard this song for the 1st time. It's amazing. This girl needs a push and maybe some more commercial music cause she really is a talented songwriter and a visual artist. It's a shame to see her being totally ignored in the US.

LFN remix with Missy Elliott will be released to radio and digital outlets on Monday- not sure if that will give it the push it needs, as Missy has not been a red-hot radio act at pop radio.

Katy should pull a Rihanna/Mariah and give LFN a deep discount. As Rihanna would tweet, "who doesn't like a sale?" I have to say Katy's record company timed it perfectly. Maroon 5's airplay is still too low, so the window of opportunity is only next week or 2 at most. After that, Maroon 5/Xtina got the Hot100 #1 in the bag.

Maybe even Inside out will be different enough from what shes previously released to attract some new people. While i Wanno go is a storng single for spears, its nothing new from her and wont get the album many new buyers. Inside out could have some really strong digial sales, even if it doesnt smash on airplay since it would be viewed as a change for britney.
