6. LIL WAYNE - How To Love: 112.698 (+ 0.005) So no chance for his second number one it seems. Something very dramatic must happen. FOSTER THE PEOPLE - Pumped Up Kicks: 32.961 (+ 1.232) COBRA STARSHIP - You Make Me Feel... f/Sabi: 22.943 (+ 1.550) Look at them go! Is You and I the next single officially? I think it's just a dud day for 'How To Love.' Maybe a station or two was removed in rhythmic/urban? I think it'll go to #1 in overall airplay, although at this rate 'Lighters' may be too quick. It'll go #2 at least. Oh, and yes, 'Yoü and I' is the official fourth single.

"Lighters" is yet another all-star collabo that radio is just loving. of course, these kinds of collabos have been hit and miss through the years.

Royce da 5'9" isn't exactly a superstar. He's never had a real hit on his own (never made the Hot 100 and his biggest hit on the R&B chart peaked at #66). The real stars are Eminem and Bruno Mars, and there are frequent rap hits by big names featuring popular singers. I wouldn't really group "Lighters" with superstar duets.

"How to Love"'s best chance at number one will probably be the week following his album release, because the album coming out will probably give it a boost, airplay will be around its peak and he's doing a big VMA performance right at the beginning of that tracking week. Of course "Lighters" will give him the most run for his money as PRA and LFN will be out of the picture by then.

Well, yes, I had Bruno Mars/Eminem in mind rather than Eminem's BME partner. :) Also note that I did not refer to it as a "duet," but a "collabo." ;) On a side note, some collabos are bonafide duets, though not all collabos would be classified as duets. Especially in this day and age of tacked-on-vocal "remixes," of which some I would not classify as a duet, even if the tacked-on act has almost as much vocal time as the original act.

If Missy's smart she'll get Katy to return the favor and tag onto her own single later in the year.

Missy needs to do something more urban than a track with Katy Perry to have a comeback. It's been over 6 years since her last album, and she's in her 40s now. She needs to cater to her Urban core first and foremost, especially if she wants to sell any albums.

Why can't she hit both formats at once, at least for the lead? Nicki doesn't have to be the only female rapper with considerable airplay there.

She's more likely to have an urban comeback than a pop comeback. Plus urban would help her move albums. Pop would help her move singles. She doesn't need to make the same mistake that Ciara made. She did a pop song with Justin Timberlake. It gave her a Top 10 hit with no longevity and the album bombed. She can make something that appeals to multiple formats.

There's nothing wrong with Missy teaming up with a hot POP artist to regain steam there while catering to Urban with a hot jam. Something tells me Missy didn't jump on LFN for a one-off deal with no future benefits after she's been gone for so long.

If this goes #1, that will be a huge stepping stone for Missy to comeback. This is about the highest profile she could possibly get right now, it's not like her doing this will harm her Urban appeal in any way.

She deserves it after being shafted with Work it...I wonder what song(s) blocked it. After her Behind the music, she definitely is due for a comeback. I think there is room for both Nicki Minaj and Lil kim, Eve, Foxy Brown, Missy Elliott. I just hope it works.

Missy stated to BB that it was the worst 10 weeks of her life lol. She also was runner up for 1,2 Step w/ Ciara.

"I'm into You" has been chugging up the chart- with urban and rhythmic support gone, how high will it go on pop support alone? Top 40 is looking likely at this point, but not sure beyond that. It's cracked the top 40 at iTunes.

If ever there was a song that could benefit the most from one high profile performance it's that one. Run This World needs to be sent out to Urban/Rhy like yesterday.
