To guess where Taylor will chart, bonus tracks peaks on iTunes last time: 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, & 11. 3.5 days after release: 1, 6, 10, 13, 15, 18. This time she went from 1, 2, 7 (I think) to 2, 4, & 10.
So I'm guessing 2 T20 debuts & one around #30. Quite good.

^Didn't BTW have 25m or so in its first day? And, that was RiRi's track's first official day? No sign of it in the top 40 at any format yet (published panel)- perhaps with tomorrow's update.

MLJ has about as much Hot AC support; but it's AC that switches more to holiday music than any other format. Once Thanksgiving hits, and AC as a format goes into full holiday mode, that's the week we'll see holiday releases storm the the Hot 100 Recurrent Airplay chart.

Wow at Rihanna's airplay!!! If it keeps rising like this till Wednesday she'll probably debut Top 40 on the Hot 100 based solely on airplay. That's pretty impressive!!

BTW was released early in the morning though, and from what I can tell YDO was released some time in the afternoon. Not to say Ri would have absolutely hit 25m with the extra hours, but I do think that probably has a lot to do with not getting close to that. The fact that she already has a popular single still rising in airplay would be the other reason. Nonetheless this is a very strong start for YDO.

I believe You Da One has a similar deal with Clear Channel that BTW had so the rise being very similar to Gaga except slightly different allowing for those factors makes sense. Of course, for Gaga the deal showed that she is a disgusting horrible cheater if you listen to net people and for Rihanna, however, it shows she is an awesome businesswomen everyone adores I think both had/have some smart tactics to make a splash-nothing wrong with that.

Very pleasantly surprised to see such a high airplay debut for Rihanna!! When WFL premiered, I was concerned that this era was gonna be the first album since her debut to not feature a number one. Now it's looking like it could be her THIRD to have multiple number ones.

2nd to BTW in terms of track spins in a single day, 1st in terms of a 2nd single. :o I'm also quite sure We Found Love (or is having) better longevity and has shown to be a bigger hit than Born This Way. The fact that the second single is gaining like this only says great things are to come for this era. The reception Rihanna is recieving is mind-blowing to say the least. I was never too fond of You Da One on first listen, but I have to admit it is a grower. Outstanding update. if WFL can be #1 for 7 weeks then it'll be the bigger hit. Otherwise BTW was the bigger hit.

You don't measure the success of a song by how many weeks it spent at #1, but rather how much it sold plus how much it achieved on airplay. So far, WFL is stronger on both of these, so yeah...

For example, the 50th anniservary Hot 100 put out in 2008 declared 'The Twist' as he biggest hit of the first 50 years and it spent three weeks total at #1

Look it up. Send billboard a trivia question or something. For their books they use a different methodology for compilation.

I believe overall performance is more important than number of weeks at number one, and it looks like WFL is looking at more longevity than BTW. But those are only my early observations, not the hard facts. :)

Billboard magazine doesn't produce any books that I am aware of.
Joel Whitburn has a license for the data and he does his own thing with it but he is not an employee

A song spending 7 weeks and #1 and only 10 weeks on the chart (let's say it debuted big and burned out quick) or a song spending 6 weeks at #1 and 20 weeks on the chart hypothetical example - btw
