Looks like Glee might snag that #1 on Digital Songs this week.

I was just thinking that. Considering it sold nearly double #2 for a few days and it's still in the lead... Wow. I didn't think it was that good either haha

"We Are Young" (the original; haven't heard Glee's) is awesome.

The problem with Peacock is possible radio support, though. Sure it's a dancey, upbeat, catchy Katy Perry song, but its lyrics are... possibly controversial. I wanna see your p-cock... That's just a problem waiting to be had...

^If they delete the extra "cock, cock, cocks" I think it could be okay. It would just be a minor edit but I think it would be enough to make PDs more comfortable with it. Plus, if there is any time when she can get away with that, it's now when she basically has radio in the palm of her hand. They'll play almost anything from this era, I'm convinced.
(Oh, and bonus benefit: Album version + new radio edit = two versions for sale)

Peacock is by far the worst song on the album. It's not even catchy the LMFAO way. Hummingbird Heartbeat is the only one left worth a release imo.

I would love Pearl or Not Like The Movies to be released. Because they're my favorites lol and it would be a nice break from her dance singles lately.

IWR is going to have to really increase in sales to have any chance of getting that Christmas #1. Its 17% behind WFL in sales and still 50 mil in AI.

I'm not saying she should release another single. Just IF she does, I would like one of those two.

Wouldn't Gaga's first era would be longer.. from Aug 2008 til summer of 2010..

Wouldn't Gaga's first era would be longer.. from Aug 2008 til summer of 2010.. Those were technically two different albums. Katy's singles are all from one album without a re-release, etc.

I feel like TF and TFM were two different era's just extremely close together. The re-release was a full album. It wasn't like she stuck a few new tracks and a remix on there. Plus You could by Monster on it's own. Same goes for Kei$sha's.

It wasn't a re-release, that is for sure. However, it (technically) isn't a new album either. Just an EP. But it was long enough to basically be considered an album lol

So can we agree that both The Fame Monster and Cannibal were extensions of their respective "eras?"

I'm amazed how similar Ke$ha and Gaga's charts are...
An album followed by an EP to "extend" the album, followed by another album.
First song is #1, first song off of the EP is a big hit (#1 for Ke$ha, made up by Gaga's PF at #1).
After the final single off of the EP, take a long break: Alejandro to BTW, Blow to something.
Ke$ha's next new single will probably be a big hit, selling a lot like BTW and reaching #1, making 3 #1s each.
Plus, they have all of their singles in the top 10 on Billboard.
So weird how it's so similar...

^ To add to the list of similarities, Ke$ha has said that she is aiming to release her album in May. I have a feeling that Ke$ha's upcoming era will be her Teenage Dream, meaning that she'll be smashing left and right and blowing the other chicks out of the water. I think she's going to be massive in 2012/13.
