So happy for her!!!! This is so exciting, hopefully this will come with the demolition of the C-Ship. Then in 2013 we will all hope for a new and improved Britney who will slay us all... the Femme Fatale era was great but the album was not her best and the tour was an improvement but with the next album I'm hoping for her best quality-wise and she brings it with the promotion and performances and tour. Hoping for the best for her!

Aw! :'( I hope Jason will be miles better than KFed. Britney deserves happiness after all she's been through! You hope he will be miles better than kfed. Um...he has a job and adds value to her life. Done and Done. I'm still irked by the kfed thing because I was in college when that happened and I knew that that loser just happen to be at the right place at the right time and told her everything she wanted to hear Let me stop before I get mad. Anyways, I love seeing the picture of them with her sons. He seems to have a genuine fatherly connection with the boys. This will be the ultimate trump card because they can have a real man to look up to. Kfed might have use his gold digger tactics to secure a somewhat better life but in the grand scheme of things, he will never be someone that his sons could look up to...I'm so glad that Jason seems to fit that bill... and as I predicted it would happen, I also hope that the conservatorship is removed once they settle the lawsuits and they get married within the first 5 months of 2012 and she gets pregnant and has a baby girl (fingers crossed) no later than May of 2013...she can take the first part of 2012 off relax and then get into some movie roles than while pregnant record like she did during the blackout era. Seriously, this is the last time she can come out with FF teas...it is a great album but I have a gut instinct that if her next record doesn't give the public/critic matureney/euphoric state of graceney/progressioney/ray of light teas...than it will I won't say it The timing would be amazing for her to give us fans the perfect blend of hot dance songs and mature progression in her music. I have high hopes... state of grace/shadow/unusual you/i run away/ when i found you/every time/someday/quicksand/weakness/mystic man break the ice/toxic/shattered glass/before the goodbye/trouble/hold it against me/up n down/seal it with a kiss (yeah i said, deal with it)

In the Pop Life section, RollingStone.com counted down their top 25 favorite songs of 2011, with How I Roll topping the list at number one! 1. Britney Spears, “How I Roll” Britney hooks up with the Swedish production duo Bloodshy and Avant, who also gave her “Toxic” in 2004 and “Piece of Me” in 2007, and like the first two chapters of the trilogy, it’s fiendishly inventive girl noise. Every sound effect that jumps out of the mix – Brit slurring the word “speakerrrr,” digital finger-snaps, a real beatbox pretending to be a human beatbox – builds the tension. There’s even a plot: An ordinary girl sits in her lonely room, dreaming of party lights far away, wishing she could escape to a place where she can show her kneesocks and drink tequila on the rocks, where there’s music and there’s people and they’re young and alive. But the mean old world won’t let her break free, so she just sings along with the machines until she turns into a machine herself, because only the beat understands her. There’s your story of pop music right there. Jam.

"Femme Fatale" #8 on Rolling Stone's "Best Albums of 2011" Ever since Blackout, she keeps remaking it, but why not? So does everybody else in the dance-pop game. And for whatever reason (I understand why you have issues with calling it "talent" but I do not happen to share these issues) she just does it better. In a year when Top 40 radio got clogged up with a revival of snivelcore folk music, it was always a relief to hear the opening electro-blurps of "Till the World Ends" and "I Wanna Go." www.rollingstone.com/culture/blogs/pop-life/the-10-best-albums-of-2011-20111221#ixzz1hDIkSLp6

I've just realized that I have no earthly idea how I'm gonna get through her "taking a break" period. Britney is really the only artist I have been able to closely follow recently. I got through 05-07 because I had other big acts to follow, but it feels like all my other favorite artists are in a slump right now. I don't feel I have anyone epic to root for at this point.

I don't know why but I have a feeling she'll be back in the studio by Summer and have a new album November/December 2012.

Agreed! Aside from her break from 2004-2007 Britney has always been active and recording. Even back then we know that she was working on the Original Doll project right after In The Zone. After that got scratched she started working on Blackout right away, we know that she worked on that project for over a year, and mostly got delayed because of her second child. Britney has always said that she likes to keep herself busy. I wouldn't be too surprised to see a release from her late next year.

PopJustice's Best 45 Singles of 2011: 26) Britney Spears - 'Till The World Ends' There were a lot of apocalypse-themed songs this year but this was one of the few that didn't make you want the world to actually end. 21) Britney Spears - 'I Wanna Go' This was instantly one of our favourite tracks on the album but it really sprang to life with the video Let's not forget the incredible opportunity this song gave on tour, too, for fans to join Britney on stage. Comedy gold. 20) Britney Spears - 'Hold It Against Me' For a song based around a pretty awful single entendre 'Hold It Against Me' packed far more of a punch, longevitywise, than we at first suspected it might. During the year it slowly started to feel like a Britney classic and while we could have done without that eight-year countdown to an underwhelming video the Britstep breakdown remains, of course, a complete masterpiece. www.popjustice.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5901&Itemid=9#ixzz1hHchIrIHPopJustice's Top 33 Albums of 2011: 9) Britney Spears FEMME FATALE www.popjustice.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5902&Itemid=9Digital Spy's Top 25 Best Singles of 2011: 1) Britney Spears: 'Till The World Ends' - Chart peak #21 Britney's best track since 'Toxic' takes the lead as our favourite single of 2011; and judging from its chart position, it's also her most underrated hit. www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/i381801-1/digital-spys-25-best-songs-of-2011-1-britney-spears-till-the-world-ends.html

I think that she will work on her next record for sure in 2012 I'm just not sure if she will release something. I would love for her to get married and pregnant and work on her album while pregnant like she did with Blackout. Still hoping for a late 2013 album.

Laziest Stars of 2011Britney SpearsOK, I recognize that Britney worked her butt off on her Femme Fatale tour, but where was the star on TV? In February, I wondered why Britney had made so few public appearances when she was about to release a new album, and while we did eventually see her perform on a handful of shows like "Good Morning America," her promo schedule was nothing compared to those undertaken by Gaga, RiRi or Justin Bieber. Now that Britney is reportedly engaged and will take some time off, it’s highly likely we won’t be seeing much of the 30-year-old in 2012 either. We miss hearing from you, Britney! How about another MTV “For the Record” documentary when you release your next album? newsroom.mtv.com/2011/12/23/the-hardest-working-and-laziest-pop-stars-of-2011/

Strangest Love is SO good. It's the best song she's done in years.
It's also much better than anything on Femme Fatale.

It's Christmas, and I'm getting drunk with my family, but Strangest Love warranted making a quick pit stop on Pulse....it's absolutely AMAZING, so different and captivating. I wanna hear more of this from her. :'(

Strangest Love is pretty good. Hoping for more songs like that on the next album.
2011 has been such a great year for our girl. She had an album that was well-received by critics as it appears on most year-end lists with the best albums and TTWE became another Britney classic based on its chart performance (it's one of her highest-ranking singles on the Hot 100's and radio charts' year-end lists) and overall impact. HIAM and IWG were pretty big hits too and added more to her legacy. And on top of that, she has been engaged and seems to finally get her life to the point she wants it to be. Love u B!!

Well, my introduction to Britney was with her Femme Fatale album as i just really discovered her awesome music. I since have purchased Circus, In the Zone, Blackout and her Singles collection. I havent' listened to in the Zone or Blackout yet. And, i would love to see more public appearances by her as well. I think she has probably had enough of that though unfortunately and doesn't need to do that to hyper herself and talent. She probably wants to just spend time with her kids.

Welcome to the Britney world. My hope is that you love In the zone for what it is...she was at her creative peak and wrote 8/12 of the songs on the album. After her third record 'Britney' was dubbed her transitional album, In the zone to me is her experimental college album. I was a sophomore in college at the time and it really does serve as a snapshot in time. During the time, hip hop dominated and she went the underground dance route before it was in. Although her team took the safe route and added Outrageous and I got that boom boom in case they needed to go urban, Britney was adamant about releasing dance tunes Me against the music and toxic...the rest is history. My faves from In the zone: Showdown Shadow...amazing ballad she wrote and is a mature a/c type song. I suspect she will write more songs like this as she goes further into her career. Everytime Toxic Breathe on me Early mornin ... the rest are great as well. Blackout is amazing, too. It is a darker mood and reflects that rebellious, party girl Britney of the late 2000s...has a euro dance vibe and one of the songs Freakshow has some element of dubstep which wasn't really mainstream at the time. I'm sure you will have no problem listening to this album from start to finish My faves... Break the ice Heaven on earth Toy soldier Perfect lover Gimme more... the rest are amazing too.

"Strangest Love" is wonderful!!! I think a song like that could give Britney much more credibility. She's had 3 successful eras in a row now, so I hope she gets more creative control over her next album
