Jake Owen performed "Ghost Town" on GMA, it has also been getting a lot of spins. I'd be suprised if it wasn't the next single. The second single from Jake Owen's new album is going to be "Beachin'".

EastonCorbin.com has been updated, presumably teasing his new single (Clockwork?) and album.

Anything on what Parmalee's follow-up single is gonna be yet? Hoping for Day Drinkin, or Another Day Gone.

Tim McGraw has new music on the way!
Source: Just heard the brand new song from Tim McGraw, I think you're gonna LOVE it! It's a catchy/upbeat song about a guy lookin' for a nice girl to bring home to mama. We'll have it to play for you on Monday... -Broadway (Country 92.5 WWYZ/Hartford)

Broadway also tweeted some of the lyrics (which include 'strawberry winer' and Jagermeister) and says it uses auto-tune on the chorus and bridge. Sounds like a real winner, Tim. SMH.

Exact Quotes from that Twitter Page: New @thetimmcgraw is called "Lookin' For That Girl". We'll get it next Monday. Fun, up-tempo song about a dude lookin' for a party chick.
Uses auto-tune in the bridge and at the end....."That girl she's a funky cold medina, she's a strawberry winer, she's a jagerbomber, I'm lookin' for that girl.

COMING SOON!!!Big & Rich "Look At You" Big & Rich Records/Kobalt Label Services Looks like they ditched Warner Brothers. I have 3 of their albums, excluding "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace". Their debut was strongest. They had some really fun songs on there. Their latest was good, but I think it lacked some magic their debut had. Nothing will beat Horse Of A Different Color. Each album got progressively worse.

Mickey Guyton posted a photo on her FB page, from a recent photo shoot: She's been signed to Capitol/UMG for a long time now. Heck, it was last year's CRS that she stole the show. I wonder if we will get a single from her soon? I haven't really checked out any of her live vocals, but from what I've heard, she's got an incredible voice. There was so much buzz about her after her performances at last year's CRS.

I really hope Mickey can get a debut single out soon. I want to check out music from her, because I have a feeling I'm going to love her from the live clips I've seen.

I really hope Mickey can get a debut single out soon. I want to check out music from her, because I have a feeling I'm going to love her from the live clips I've seen. I feel the same. I am hoping that the single will come soon. Right now, Capitol has 8 artists, and 7 of them (all but Mickey) have current singles: Keith Urban - "Cop Car", Lady Antebellum - "Compass", Luke Bryan - "Drink A Beer", Dierks Bentley - "I Hold On", Darius Rucker - "Radio", Little Big Town - "Sober", and Jon Pardi - "Up All Night". Most of those guys are heavy-hitters except Jon, but Capitol has done a fairly good job with him. I wonder if, once things slow down with one of those 7 (maybe Darius? I can't see any of the others really having much of a break anytime soon, as none are gonna be between albums except maybe LBT but it doesn't sound like there will be a big gap between "Sober" and their next project), perhaps then maybe Capitol will 'launch' Mickey's career? Another thing that UMG could do would be to move her to MCA, Mercury, or EMI, as those labels aren't nearly as busy right now. I'm just really hoping we get something from Mickey soon.

I wondered what happened to Mickey. This industry is slowing down more and more each year. Its almost getting too painfully annoying to even follow anymore.

The one thing that Scott Borchetta actually has done well, is the three separate divisions of Big Machine Label Group (Big Machine, Republic, Valory). That way the artist that are signed can be each devoted to individually and get their singles out their more quickly. Labels like Capitol, Curb, and Warner Music have so many artist on their labels that it takes forever sometimes to get to their music because the label already has their hands full with the other artist on the roste that are charting with various singles. So sometimes the artist ends up waiting 1 or even 2 years to release a single. Sometimes it takes so long that the label cuts it's losses and decides to drop them after a long layoff on radio like Randy Montana, and The Farm. Mercury still has Lauren Alaina and Canaan Smith, but they have been MIA lately. Especially Canaan who charted with "We Got Us" almost two full years ago. So some of these artists are left high and dry waiting on when the label will get to them.
It seems like Mickey Guyton has been on their roster a ridiculous amount of time and hopefully she can find success when she hits radio.

I wondered what happened to Mickey. This industry is slowing down more and more each year. Its almost getting too painfully annoying to even follow anymore. It's basically always been like this, though. There are hundreds of country artists and all of them want to have success. But radio just can't fit them all. And success still hinges largely on radio because the hit singles are what's selling, and the music industry still relies largely on radio to get music exposed to 'the masses'. Sure, you can use social media or put music up on the internet, but the internet is very vast. Until/unless the industry finds other ways to get mass exposure like radio currently offers, then it will always be slow for new artists. It's about the business model and now more than ever, I think, the industry relies on the biggest radio hit possible, because that gives you a better chance at big single sales in a time when albums aren't really selling much anymore (and the album doesn't seem likely to rebound, either).

But when it happens to the artist who was the biggest hit and talk of the Country "radio" seminar, it really makes you wonder... If they loved her that much, then why wasn't that opportunity taken advantage of when it was there? They seemed to want her, bad!

It probably has a lot to do with other things other than just Mickey's deal with Capitol. A lot of new artists have development deals that are separate from their actual recording contract. I don't think it will be that long until we get a single from her. January/February is usually pretty packed so I am hoping March or April...that way they can plan on working Mickey for most (if not all) of 2014. They have probably been working on getting the right songs and making the right connections and all kinds of stuff. But I don't know more than that...I am not an artist or a record label employee :)

Tracy's latest album is really good. I love the fact he hasn't changed one bit. His music has always been consistent and great. The funny thing is that many casual fans probably think he's not around anymore, but if you look at his career, he never went away for the most part. He had a comeback hit with "Paint Me A Birmingham" (#4), then another comeback hit with "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" (#1). But he's had a ton of under performing singles throughout the 2000's. "Used To The Pain", and "If I Don't Make It Back" might be my two all time favs of his, but neither cracked top 30.
Glad to hear "Lie" will be the third single... Keep at it Tracy!
