Has anybody heard anything out of Josh Turner? He released 2 singles from his last album Punching Bag, Time Is Love and Find Me A Baby, and I haven't heard or seen any info about a third single or new album. If anyone knows something I'd appreciate any info.

I think he's already working on a new album, which is kinda odd considering the back-and-forth success from Punching Bag (going from a #1 to missing the top 40 between singles, ouch!). Hopefully, he'll have better luck this go round.

As a big Josh Turner fan, there really wasn't another single other than "Time Is Love" on the album. It was extremely disappointing and I was glad they moved on after "Find Me A Baby" rightfully flopped. I'm hoping he can come back with material as strong as his previous two efforts.

"Punching Bag", "Deeper Than My Love", "Good Problem" and even "I Was There" would have been good choices for singles. I'd thrown in "Whatcha Reckon" as well. All of those would've been better choices than "Find Me a Baby," except "I Was There," which would've been more risky. That said, it's easily my favorite on the album and would've been a risk worth taking imo as a third/fourth single.

Anything on what Parmalee's follow-up single is gonna be yet? Hoping for Day Drinkin, or Another Day Gone. I was hoping for "Already Calling Your Mine," but the winner is..."Close Your Eyes." A few reviewers jumped on it as particularly radio-friendly and since they hit with a romantic song, I guess that's a good follow up. It's not an original (like the two you suggested) but was written by Trent Tomlinson, Adam Craig and Shane Minor. Day Drinkin' might be a better summer single.

All I know is, "Find Me a Baby" was my favorite single of the year. I never claimed to be in tune with contemporary radio, though. :) Given current trends, I can understand why it didn't fit in, but personally I'd never tack a "rightfully" in front of the "flopped" with that one. It's a great song, and at another time and place, it might have done very well. But what can you do? We have to deal with the state of radio as it is, worse luck.

Not much in the way of clues, but that's ok...only a few days to wait. Hopefully it is good! The 26th is obviously Sunday, aka Grammy day, so I think we can assume that he's debuting the new song for his Grammy performance, and it will probably get shipped to radio first thing Monday morning, or perhaps even late Sunday night (I seem to recall Warner Bros. doing this with Blake's "Honey Bee" when he debuted it at the ACM's a couple years back).

I just hope Hunter's nerves don't get to his vocals on the Grammys. He sings good live but on award shows he almost always seems flat and off key. This is the biggest performance of his career, so no pressure...

Thanks for that. The sound quality was a little weird, but it sounds like a pretty song. Looking forward to the recorded version.

The new Michelle Wright single is "What's Better Than This." It is the fourth single from Strong, following "Another Good Day," "Strong," and "Crazy Stupid Love." The latter did not chart.

According to Broadway in CT where Luke played last night, his next single is Play it Again.
I'm disappointed. PIA is so average to my ears - I really wanted Roller Coaster.

I actually like Play It Again, but I agree that Roller Coaster would be even better. That said, PIA sounds to me like it's going to be another massive hit for Luke Bryan so I can't fault them with that choice (and it's still better than the first two, especially the second, singles from this era).

Play It Again sounds like another Drunk on You-sized hit heading into the warmer weather. Plus, it's selling extremely well for an album track.

I just listened to "Play It Again" for the first time...it sounds so awkward. He doesn't sound very comfortable singing it, and the lines just don't seem to 'fit' together that well. But I am sure it will be another big hit. It's yet another fantasy bro-country song...guy out in the middle of the country sees a beautiful girl sitting on a truck tailgate, and she falls head over heels for him. We don't know anything about this guy, but he pops up in every single bro-country song and he gets the girl every time. What IS his secret?

Don't forget, Luke Bryan was always bro-country. His debut album had bro country songs like "All My Friends Say" and "Country Man". But those were good. To go from those to That's My Kind Of Night is atrocious!

"Country Man" is somewhat 'bro-country' by definition, but "All My Friends Say"? No way. That's an actual country song, a fun break-up song about a guy who had a little too much to drink after seeing his ex.

There's only one or two I didn't like from "Crash My Party" (I have the album). I'm just saying if you wanna bash Luke Bryan's new songs for being bro-country, I don't want people to forget he was bro-country to began with. At least he was not mixing Conway Twitty with T Pain on All My Friends Say!

I'm just saying if you wanna bash Luke Bryan's new songs for being bro-country, I don't want people to forget he was bro-country to began with. He really wasn't though, certainly not for his first two albums, and then he started down that path with Tailgates and Tanlines, but it wasn't until this past year that he really solidified that transformation, I'd say. There was definitely a very clear trajectory in his career path; he hasn't always been the type artist he is currently marketed as. By no means was he ever an Easton Corbin type, but "That's My Kind of Night" certainly wouldn't have fit with the material on his debut album.

I'm really disappointed by "Play It Again" being Luke's next single. "We Run This Town" (my personal choice), "Dirt Road Diary" or "Roller Coaster" would have been so much better. I actually don't mind PIA, but it's in the bottom half of the album for me. A lot of the deluxe tracks would have made better singles too, although it's unlikely that any of them will ever get released as singles.

Play it Again has always been the clear smash single from the albjm for me. There's no way people don't fall all over that chorus.
However, I do like Roller Coaster better and hope it is the next single. I think they go 6 deep with this.

Not suprised in the slightest by the choice. But still, "Roller Coaster" is miles better. Not even close IMO.
Still thinking it'll be released at some point.

Play it Again is a fan favorite, so I definitely agree with the choice. I saw him in concert a week or so after the album dropped and he performed PIA and the entire crowd sang along.

They have had some success here, and now they want some more! I love them. Small Town Pistols Release New Music and Video, "Colour Blind" Amanda and Tyler Wilkinson Return To U.S. As Newly Formed Duo
(Nashville, Tenn. – Jan. 30, 2014) - Former members of the chart-topping trio The Wilkinsons, Amanda and Tyler Wilkinson, are making their stateside return as Small Town Pistols to release new music from their self-titled debut album. The duo's first single and video, "Colour Blind," is now available on iTunes and YouTube. The duo co-wrote the song with Joey Moi, who is credited for producing the track ("Colour Blind") and other hits by Florida Georgia Line ("Cruise," "Get Your Shine On," and "Round Here") and Jake Owen ("Barefoot Blue Jean Night," "Days of Gold").
"Colour Blind," which serves as a lyrical reminder to see everyone's unique colors and to enjoy all of life, is the first stateside single off their current album. Following the success of their debut, self-titled project in Canada, Amanda and Tyler were anxious to bring their music back to Nashville. "It's home for us," said Amanda.
As teenagers, Amanda and Tyler launched their careers as The Wilkinsons, a band made up of themselves and their father, Steve Wilkinson. Together, they produced two consecutive stateside Top 20 singles, "26 Cents" and "Fly (The Angel Song)," and achieved success at Country radio that led to the success of their first album, Nothing But Love, which reached No. 16 on the Billboard Top Country Albums charts in 1998. That same year, the group garnered nominations for the Country Music Association's Horizon Award and Vocal Group of the Year Award; the Academy of Country Music's Single of the Year Award; and two GRAMMY Awards (both for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group).
A few years later, with nine Canadian Country Music Awards, a Juno award (equivalent to the American GRAMMY) and a hit reality television series under their belts, Tyler and Amanda both briefly set out to pursue solo careers, but it wasn't long until they would collaborate again and form Small Town Pistols. The duo's debut full-length album is already available through iTunes and other digital retailers.
