^ I really love Amanda's voice and her solo album is amazing. I like the sound of Small Town Pistols too, and Colour Blind is a very decent song, but favorite is "Living On The Outside"

^ That song is way too good to be played in the states....lol
Always loved the Wilkinsons but I thought that Amanada likes to be a little over dramatic with her vocals sometimes. I will be digging out the Nothin But Love CD when I get home though.....I need to get the other CD's they released as well. Loved 1999....

Red Bow Records recording artist David Fanning has covered Justin Timberlake's "Drink You Away", and according to Fanning's YouTube page, it is his "first single". Not sure if it will be the first song that Red Bow will push to country radio, though. The song was written by Justin Timberlake, Timothy Mosley, Jerome Harmon, and James Fauntleroy (all frequent collaborators with Timberlake).
Here is Fanning's version of "Drink You Away":
For those that don't know, Fanning signed a recording contract with Red Bow Records last fall. David Fanning is also one of the members of the New Voice Entertainment production team, along with Rich Redmond, Kurt Allison, and Tully Kennedy. Redmond, Allison, and Kennedy are currently part of Jason Aldean's touring band and were previously part of the band Rushlow in 2003-2004. NV produced both of Thompson Square's albums, Parmalee's Feels Like Carolina, and part of Katie Armiger's Confessions Of A Nice Girl.

Ugh, The Highway is ALL OVER IT. I wish they'd just send Justin's version out. Or get someone who can do a better job emotionally interpreting the song. Not. A. Fan.

Yeah I saw online that The Highway was all over David's song, but I forgot to post that. It isn't too bad, I guess, but it sounds more like a rock song or a Daughtry song. At least you can hear a lot of country instruments on the NV-produced Parmalee album.

I'm so happy there is someone who shares my exact feelings on these songs that The Highway is absolutely running into the ground. List of songs on The Highway that I can't stand to bear anymore. -Tippin' Point -This Is How We Roll -Raised On It -Drink You Away -You Sound Good To Me -Ready Set Roll -Ball Cap -Beachin Yet I'm paying for it. I guess I'm the moron .

I just don't get why The Highway plays certain songs and some they won't! "See You Tonight" has been in the top 20 for awhile and is now in the top 10. It has been #1 several times in Audience surveys. This channel has never played the song, but yet they run much lesser positioned songs on the chart into the ground.

According to tonight's Billboard Country Update Don Williams has a new single, "I'll Be Here in the Morning" (Sugar Hill Records), going for adds March 3. I don't expect it to chart (his last chart single was in 1992), but it's nice to see him still putting out new music. His album Reflections will be released March 11. ETA: You can listen to the entire song here.

@kennyjayradio 33m New music update: New @kennychesney music is coming in June. #CantWaitThatLong #CRS2014 Interesting! Is Kenny playing at CRS? Because if he is it would seem odd for him to play a new song but to not have it released to radio until June. Unless they mean the album would be out in June? In that case, a single could hit radio any week now... ETA: According to Aircheck the new single will be hitting radio in June.

Brady Clark - Pray To JesusFrom this video: Glad to see this is official. Seemed like the obvious 2nd single to me. What'll Keep Me Out of Heaven shouldn't be too far behind as #3. Then they can do virtually anything except the two previously recorded songs though I hope they close with Just Like Him if they go beyond that.

YES. "Pray to Jesus" is my favorite on the album. Not that radio is actually going to play it, but exciting nonetheless.

They aren't even wasting the money to try and promote Brandy on mainstream country radio. Can't say I blame them. Here's an excerpt from an article in the Tennessean ( Critical darlings struggle for country radio airplay) about the lack of female artists on country radio right now. --------- The case of Clark’s single “Stripes” highlights another issue: the cost of promoting a song to major country radio. Although the song has received strong play on satellite radio and Americana radio, Jim Burnett, who launched Slate Creek Records, which released “12 Stories,” said it was too expensive to market the song to country radio. “We kind of made a conscious decision going in not to go to radio,” Burnett said. “We started going to Americana radio, which we charted last week there. And we hired an (independent promotion) crew to take us to secondary markets. Going to mainstream radio is cost prohibitive. I don’t have the secret handshake deal the big labels have. I could write a half-million (dollar) check. But it’s expensive going to the stations.”

It takes hundreds of thousands of dollars to break new artists with radio (with a radio tour, radio promotions, etc.), so I'm not surprised at all that Slate Creek isn't going for that since I've never even heard of them before - meaning they don't have a lot of money to their name since they don't have any big artists on their roster. I'm fine with that as long as Brandy continues to write wonderful country music and either sing them herself or give them to others to sing.

The new Michelle Wright single is "What's Better Than This." Interesting. I'm also working on a new mix for my next single, "What's Better Than This." I am going to have a few mixes. One a bit more country, the other a bit more contemporary and I'm thinking this song could have a dance mix. It's fun and a party song even though it isn't about getting drunk. I can't wait for you to hear the different mixes.

Luke Bryan mentioned yesterday that "Play It Again" will be his next single to radio. The Brothers Osborne will release "Rum" to radio soon with an add date of 3.31.14.

Those songs are horrendous...I bought a car in 2012 with a free six month trial of Sirius, which has since run out but there are free trials about once every three or four months, and everytime it's back on, I am reminded about why its not worth it! Do you listen to Prime? There are some old, tired songs on there, but its pretty great for the most part.

Do you listen to Prime? There are some old, tired songs on there, but its pretty great for the most part. Well as much as I can't stand those songs ("Ball Cap" is ok. Just totally overplayed though), my terrestrial station here is really not fun to listen to at all. So I've had my Sirius/XM for three years and it was fine before the influx of bro country. I am glad there are many other options like Prime Country which I do listen to as well. The only gripe is there seems to be a few songs they constantly play like "We Tell Ourselves" by Clint Black which I'm convinced is played every two hours or so. I must admit though, I feel pretty old when they play songs from 2005! Good God, I'm only 24. What's really baffling is if you listen to their weekly top 45 countdown the entirety of the top 10 is always horrendous. I was amazed when "Tippin Point " was the most requested song a couple weeks ago. Luckily Dierks' "I Hold On" was #2, so at least it wasn't a total loss.

Dierks was #1 the week before Tippin' Point, sabre14. ;) I like the Highway because there IS more variety and they actually play females - I discovered Brandy Clark and Holly Williams through them so it's not all bad. That said, they push the bro copycats hard - too hard - and that's hard to deal with. I absolutely love Prime Country, though. And I listen to 90s on 9 and Pop2K a lot, too.

Dan + Shay new song "What You Do To Me"
The song is currently #18 on country iTunes chart and the duo have been in NY and LA this week promoting the song and album, not sure when it will be going to radio.

I think "19 You + Me" will make a run at #1 yet, or at least top 5, but it won't peak for another 2 months at least.

How many think that Miranda and Carrie's "Something Bad" will be a single? It will probably be the next single since Carrie is in between projects and the song will likely fly up the chart in warp speed so Carrie can release her own single by Fall.

This video also seems to imply that there will be a music video shot for the song, so I'd say there's a very good chance of that happening.
