here is a interview about jana's new single 'love' thats coming out in may! youtu.be/tr-ZMBI2aPwheres live version youtu.be/zF83F3VBa2Iguys its almost here!!! im so excited to start requesting! i just hope her label is commited to getting her song up the chart considering there have been new artist < lucy hale , easton corbin , gloriana > and more who have been stuck in the same place on the chart!! So we have new music from Jana Kramer, Lucy Hale and Lindsay Ell. Sadly all 3 won't get big hits. I enjoy Lucy's and Lindsay's new singles and all of Jana's singles, and I'm kinda excited to hear new music from Jana. well we dont know yet if jana will have another hit or not! Its really up to warnerbronashville. She could very well become a huge hit as miranda or anyone else has, only time and good music will tell. but all her new stuff is sounding great so im optimistic that if warner gets her another big hit then she could become huge. But the single climate for new artists is awful. Maybe she could pull a dustin lynch and get into the top 40 quick.... IDK. THIS IS LIKE A AWFUL TIME FOR NEW ARTISTS!!!!

Sunny Sweeney's got a new single coming out soon: It looks like the date given is for a digital release. No word on if/when "Bad Girl Phase" will be going to radio.

^My life's complete now. I seriously doubt it'll go to radio at all, but as long as Sunny's voice is back in my life with new music I can cope

Jason Aldean's tour is called the Burn It Down tour, which is named after a song written by Florida Georgia Line called "Burning It Down." It will be on Jason's new album and I suppose is a likely single contender at this point.

Miranda Lambert's next single from Platinum is practically confirmed to be the duet with Carrie Underwood ("Somethin' Bad"). They'll be debuting the song on the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on May 18, 2014. www.mirandalambert.com/news/article.php?article=403

I'm looking forward to hearing this single! But looking at the tour dates make me sad. I remember when Reba played over 100 dates a year so there was always a concert near me I could see her at. Now she plays only a couple a month. I hate to think the demand for her is that low. She may not have radio hits anymore or Multi-Platinum albums but she has a solid fan base all over who would love the chance to see her in their area again.

I feel I should clarify what "single" refers to in this case. Her fanclub clarified that they don't have any plans to send this song to radio, nor is it part of an album. Tour-wise, I believe the demand for her continues to be favourable because, when she does play, the crowds are often large and sold-out. She must just like taking things slowly now, and she has surely earned that.

According to this we should expect a single from Kristian Bush in about five weeks if I understood it correctly. He has spent this past week visiting various radio stations playing songs for fans and radio folks. I believe he's going to do even more the next few weeks before his tour starts back up again. I noticed though he has visited some stations in places while on tour prior to this but this is a more extensive radio visit tour. ETA: Radiotaks has songs from Kristian up to rate. I assume to pick the first single. The songs are - On Top of My Flip Flops, Southern Gravity and Hearse with a Trailer Hitch. The songs have been posted on his site over this past year for music monday. I'll put them here. Keep in mind some are rough cuts and demo versions. Trailer Hitch DemoSouthern Gravity - Title track of the album. On Top of My Flip Flops

It's #1 bound in a matter of weeks. They can perform the single ahead of its release date; it doesn't have to be at country radio immediately.

The CMT Awards are no where near as impacting as the CMAs or ACMs when it comes to performances. CMT will repeat it 100 times within the month so if someone misses it they know they will catch it again...all Summer long.

Why on earth would they? It's #1 bound in a matter of weeks. They can perform the single ahead of its release date; it doesn't have to be at country radio immediately. I figured it would make more sense to release a new single after their performance. They could easily get a high debut from it, which is really all labels care for nowadays. How high a new "buzz" single can debut. A high debut is not nearly as valuable as "Automatic" reaching No. 1. And it'll do plenty well when they do release it; rushing it out is not necessary. Performing it together on the award show will do plenty for raising Miranda's awareness to a wider audience, that she has a new duet coming out with Carrie and more people will in turn also know about Platinum's upcoming release date in a few weeks. The CMT Awards are no where near as impacting as the CMAs or ACMs when it comes to performances. CMT will repeat it 100 times within the month so if someone misses it they know they will catch it again...all Summer long. The performance being discussed will be on the Billboard Music Awards. I imagine she'll also perform it again on the CMT Awards too though.

Apparently FGL's lead single for their sophomore album will "Blow You Away" in the words of Broadway of the Nashville Gap. The song is described as a mid-tempo and devoid of their bro-country sound that made them famous. Now they are admittedly fans of both FGL and the recent trend in country music, so it might be a slanted point of view. I'll be fair and hold off judgement till I hear it for myself. www.nashvillegab.com/2014/05/florida-georgia-lines-next-single-will-blow-you-away.html

He is a huge bro fan. Regardless, an amazing song won't change the fact that Tyler Hubbard's vocals are like nails on a chalkboard for me. Sure it would be great if FGL could legitimize their success with something decent, but that's one bandwagon I will never get on.

I'm really intrigued now. I have no doubt that if they record a serious song or even a ballad it will be a HUGE hit, so they might as well go for it. They're pretty much in the same group as Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, where anything they release will at least go top 5. They should take a risk. If they open up with a good serious song that performs well on the charts and digital sales, and then follow it up with a good party song, their new album will sell like crazy, without a doubt.

Yep. Although Big Loud Mountain isn't really a full-fledged record label in terms of radio promotion. It's mostly management and publishing. Florida Georgia Line and Dallas Smith are the other BLM artists and of course FGL is also signed with Republic Nashville. With Big Machine opening up a 4th imprint (Dot Records) it's possible that Dallas and Chris Lane could be put on that label. But I must point out that Chris could wind up getting radio support from an entirely different, non-BMLG label, as Big Loud Mountain is NOT a part of Big Machine. Basically, as far as I understand, Big Loud Mountain artists could turn to other non-BMLG labels if they wanted to, or perhaps Big Loud Mountain could bring in a full radio team as well. FGL's relationship with both Big Lound Mountain and Big Machine/Republic is one of the more interesting record deals, that's for sure.

The title track from Lee Ann Womack's new album will be the lead single and will premiere this week: www.sugarhillrecords.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=63:lee-ann-womack-releases-the-way-i-m-livin-sept-23&catid=9:news&Itemid=21"Title Track Bows at WSJ.com 5/22, Arrives at Radio Next Week [...] “The Way I’m Livin’,” written by Grammy Country Song of the Year nominee Adam Wright (“So You Don’t Have To Love Me Any More”), is a scalding psychic meltdown of a lost soul, banging on the rocks and not sure they want any better. With a sweltering guitar and foreboding beat that turns dervish, Womack delivers her most blistering vocal since Buddy Miller’s “Does My Ring Burn Your Finger.” The high impact title track debuts May 22 at WSJ.com, the Wall Street Journal’s online presence. Hailed by TIME for “the clarity of a soul that realizes loss is a form of purification, a scraping away of false ideals and excess emotional baggage,” this debut track takes Womack’s viscerality to a whole other level." ------ The new album follows on September 23rd.
