I would assume so because I think he posted previously that he was recording a powerful song with her (or a producer mentioned recording a powerful song with he and Reba). Anyway, I don't remember the exact circumstances but Reba and Ronnie were recording together.

I don't think Reba's new song is anything special, as she repeats the the phrase "Pray for Peace" x number of times....??? Maybe she'll get some airplay on gospel radio with this, but I can't see it doing much on the country charts and to bring her back to the top..Wondering if it'll make the new album?

If Reba's awesome charity song from 1997 "What If" didn't make an album, no way will "Pray For Peace" make one. "What If" was so superior to it!

What If had money involved and donations so I think some contracts were in place and if it was released on an album then it might get complicated. Pray for Peace doesn't seem to be BMLG so I doubt it would end on an album. Also Kelly Clarkson and Ronnie Dunn are singing on the track so if it went for sale money would have to exchange hands.

Yeah, I think "Pray For Peace" and "What If" are pretty different situations. Still, I'd rather it not be included on her next album. It's a nice song and all, but I think it's done what it's going to achieve for her. I hope they don't waste time and effort pushing it at radio or anything. Her chances at radio are probably getting near the end, and I'd hate for her to waste any comeback hype on this song. While it's nice and everything, radio is only going to give her so many more shots, and this doesn't seem like the song to go for it with.

Anyone else noticed Meghan Trainor's All About That Bass in the New & Active section of the last Billboard Country Airplay update? How in the hell is a country station playing that song?

^Probably Bobby Bones. He's been playing it on the show though lately because he likes the song. When the suits told him not to, he did a cover of it on Friday.

Meghan Trainor has a couple co-writing credits on Rascal Flatts' latest album. But yeah, I definitely disagree with "All About That Bass" being played at country radio at all.

Right. :) Noticed the same. Mediabase has a cover version coming in at # 75: CAM & THE RAGING IDIOTS All About That Bass. 54 Spins at 19 stations (+54 / +19). And IMO it's equally meh! :)

Why wouldn't they be? That's why songs in The top 30 get "bumps" from weekend countdown shows. These shows still DO play in those markets.

Appreciate. :) I truly believed all these shows were excluded from tabulations since content, i.e. music featured is not a choice of the station airing it. Now, I understand the huge gap in audience impressions that sometimes drastically separates the upper block from the lower segment of the chart; which I realize is not only caused by the tremendous amount of recurrents songs no longer shown in the current titles chart. I'll guess, you're never too old to learn new things ;)

Easton Corbin announced at his show in St. Louis tonight that "Be My Love Song" will be his next single. I'll wait until we get more "official" word to start the thread. :)

Taylor won't be a problem for country radio. No source since this was in person, but one of the guys from 93.7 here in STL told me her single is going straight to pop.

That wouldn't necessarily surprise me. We've all heard the news that a new single is coming, but I haven't heard anything specifically about it going to country radio or not. I am sure many assume it will but we can't know that for certain (and I'm honestly starting to have doubts that the song will go to country radio, given the bit from Country Aircheck below). Here's what Country Aircheck reported about Taylor yesterday: So Clear Channel Top 40 and Hot AC stations are airing the Yahoo Live Stream, but no mention of country stations (Clear Channel or otherwise) doing the same.

Yeah no country stations/DJs were invited to the sneak listen of her new material. It appears they're officially moving on from country.

I wish she'd go back to her sound on her first two albums again.

I wish she'd go back to her sound on her first two albums again. If Taylor and her team were wise, she'd do what Shania did with Up! and release a country disc and a pop disc.

Do we know anything about a new single from Chase Rice? I'm really enjoying Gonna Wanna Tonight.
