Man, those "Sun Daze" lyrics make "Round Here", "Cruise" and "Get Your Shine On" seem like lyrical masterpieces.

When the "Sun Daze" lyrics are spelled out...wow, wow, wow. I like music when it's art, not garbage. Yeah I'd like to start advocating that this crap NOT be played on country radio. Nothing but trash. Complete trash. what you said about that song is how i feel about them

In all seriousness, I'm glad The Farm are back with new music. The music video will be shot on Saturday as well, and it goes to iTunes on Tuesday.

Florida Georgia Line just keeps getting worse and worse. I really hope that this is the single that radio says "No" to, because with those awful lyrics I can't imagine them wanting to play it. They're just so bad, like offensively bad. Ugh, they need to just go away. While I hope this proves to be the proverbial straw that breaks bro-country's back, it's so catchy that I'd wager probably at least 75% of listeners don't even notice the crude and vulgar lyrics. However it is garnering quite a bit of negative press early, so there's still hope.

^^^ Verse 1] I'm gonna wear my flip-flops and I'm gonna play some flip-cup and Rock a little bit of hip-hoping and Haggard and Jagger And throw a 20 on the court whole game If I'm lucky yeah I might get laid The way that it's going, the keg gon' be floating [Chorus] All I wanna do today is wear my favorite shades and get stoned Work a little less, play a little more That's what this day is for And all I wanna do is lace my J's and put some Jack in my Coke Work on my lay back, ain't nothin' wrong With gettin' my sun daze on, gettin' my sun daze on [Verse 2] Girl you know you're the life of my party You can stay and keep sippin' Bacardi Stir it up as we turn on some Marley If you want you can get on Harley I sit you up on a kitchen sink Stick the pink umbrella in your drink They way that we're feeling we gone buy this evening Complete trash. If radio plays this s*hit chances are I will never touch the Country radio dial again and just stick to my Ipod. Just when I think it can't get worse, FGL proves me wrong again. Thanks for the impeccably high standards, guys.

With all the early negative press, maybe they reconsider releasing it as a single.

Wade Bowen has released a new single called "When I Woke Up Today". It probably won't get much airplay outside of Texas, but he is using the single to promote a self-titled album due out October 28 via Amp Records.
Here's the lyric video for "When I Woke Up Today":

^Wow I really liked that song by Wade. I wish we would have more songs like that on the radio. It was catchy but still sounded very organic, with some positive lyrics.

I'm still really upset that "Saturday Night" didn't do anything. I was so ecstatic when he signed with Sony, and that song sounded like such a hit. But when it could only scrape the top 40, they dropped him just like that. Ugh! It's just frustrating because I really think that Wade has a lot of potential. I feel like, if he signed with any other major label (UMG, Warner Bros, BMLG, Broken Bow, etc), he could do some damage. But for whatever reason Sony wasn't big on him, and so I'm not sure if going back to a big label is in the cards, nor am I sure if Wade even wants to go national at this time.

What really urked me, was that "Saturday Night" couldn't get many adds. The chart was fairly weak in early 2012 in terms of audience, spins, and points so that was why it peaked at #39 on Billboard and #42 on MB; but it never really came that close to catching on (51 total stations and 395 spins was the most it could muster on MB). That was my second favorite song that year behind "Home Sweet Home" and I too was upset it did almost nothing. It did have a late 90's or early 2000's feel to it, so perhaps that could have been a reason but I'll be honest, I'm really struggling for plausible reasons for why that didn't take off.

The Farm are back with new music for the first time since early 2013. They will debut their new single "Mud" on The Highway on September 22nd. It's unclear if they have a label or promotional team to get this played on terrestrial radio, but if that word comes I most certainly will love to get a thread started. ;) They had two singles. "Home Sweet Home" in 2012 which peaked at #18 on MB and #19 on Billboard, and "Be Grateful" in late 2012/early 2013 which peaked at #37 on both MB and Billboard. I know I'm like a week late with this, but I was at the music video shoot for "Mud," last Sunday. I can honestly say that this video is going to be awesome. I can't wait to see it all put together. They used those Go-Pro cameras to film the entire thing. No idea when it'll come out, Damien said hopefully in a few weeks but who knows. I know they said something on facebook about pictures from the shoot coming this week some time.

First off welcome to pulse. :) Secondly, I did know about the video shoot but I was hoping to post that as a surprise but oh well, lol. It's cool you decided to participate in the video shoot. Hope it does turn out and was edited well, but that won't be known til it comes out. Usually three to four weeks is the average time for the video to get released once shot.

I have reason to believe that Billy Currington will be releasing a song entitled "Don't It" sometime soon as the lead single from his upcoming album, but I don't have any confirmation yet.

"Don't It" is definitely a new song from Billy Currington. My local station was going to introduce it in their new music segment, but Billy's managers denied it. They said that the song my station wanted to play might not have been the final cut.

James Otto will be releasing a new single which will be premiered on The Highway called "Somewhere Tonight" next week. He also signed with talent company The Agency. James doesn't really have a label right now so I expect this to be a Sirius/XM only song for now. Source

rumor has it the third single from Miranda Lambert's album Platinum is Little Red Wagon though it doesn't have a release date yet I wouldn't be surprised by this since it's been the song she's been performing lately (she performed it on that Fashion Rocks special last month and it aired on the CMA "Country's Night to Rock"), but I'd rather see something else released. It's not one of my favorites on the record (still good though), and I get the feeling it could be a bit polarizing for radio. I've still got my fingers crossed though that "Somethin' Bad" can kick it back into gear and make a run for the penthouse before we have to worry about a new single.

I like "Little Red Wagon" a lot, but I agree that it could be way too polarizing for country radio. I hope that she releases something a little safer to radio, like "Priscilla" or "Babies Makin' Babies".
