Hunter should release "Light Me Up" in the USA. That song is more radio friendly than anything on his new album. I'm so upset Hunter has so many potential radio hits that was wasted on the re-release, while the 2nd album is full of radio flops. Totally wasted opportunity!! Nothing else is being released on his Storyline album. A lead single should be dropping in a few weeks.

How exciting to get a new lead single and likely album in early 2015.

I wonder if this means anything? On the Warner Music Nashville home page, when you click on Ryan Kinder, it says his current single is "Kiss Me When I'm Down". Perhaps this means that WMN will re-release that one as his debut single! www.warnermusicnashville.com/artist/ryan-kinder

An album in early 2015 is a little too soon. Probably later in the year.

For any fan of Mila Mason, the former Atlantic recording artist has released a new single to country radio titled "Run Like A Girl". It's Mila's first single in nearly 12 years. Play MPeShe reached the top 20 on R&R with "That's Enough Of That" and "Dark Horse" in 1996 and 1997.

Ashley Monroe will be releasing a new single called "On To Something Good". No confirmation other than it has appeared on CDX's website with a delivery date of February 16th.
Her Facebook page also says "New Music Coming Soon".

Yes, he's been teasing new music for a few weeks. None of the fanbase really get the whole UK release of Light Me Up, myself included, but who are we to argue? I'm just hoping he comes back stronger than ever.

In the pop forum they have a thread to document weekly adds, and I thought it would be a good idea to document weekly country adds as well, thus giving this "upcoming singles" thread a dual purpose: to keep track of upcoming singles and their adds dates, and to also document the weekly adds report. So, here are "This Week's Adds" from Mediabase (stealing Kurt's format): BOLD = Went for Adds 58 CARRIE UNDERWOOD / Little Toy Guns (19/Arista) 50 MICHAEL RAY / Kiss You In The Morning (Warner Bros./WEA)25 KENNY CHESNEY with GRACE POTTER / Wild Child (Blue Chair/Columbia) 16 BIG & RICH / Run Away With You (B&R/New Revolution) 13 BRAD PAISLEY / Crushin' It (Arista) 12 CRAIG WAYNE BOYD / My Baby's Got A Smile On Her Face (Republic/Dot) 10 MADDIE & TAE / Fly (Dot) 10 PARMALEE / Already Callin' You Mine (Stoney Creek) 10 WATERLOO REVIVAL / Hit The Road (Big Machine) 9 A THOUSAND HORSES / Smoke (Republic Nashville) 8 BRANTLEY GILBERT / One Hell Of An Amen (Valory) 8 KELSEA BALLERINI / Love Me Like You Mean It (Black River) 8 TIM MCGRAW with CATHERINE DUNN / Diamond Rings And Old Barstools (McGraw/Big Machine) 7 FRANKIE BALLARD / Young & Crazy (Warner Bros./WAR) 7 KEITH URBAN feat. ERIC CHURCH / Raise 'Em Up (Hit Red/Capitol) 7 KIP MOORE / I'm To Blame (MCA) 5 AUSTIN WEBB / All Country On You (Streamsound) 5 MIRANDA LAMBERT / Little Red Wagon (RCA) 4 CANAAN SMITH / Love You Like That (Mercury) 4 MO PITNEY / Country (Curb) 4 OLD DOMINION / Break Up With Him (ReeSmack/Crescendo) 3 CHASE RICE / Gonna Wanna Tonight (Dack Janiels/Columbia) 3 DUSTIN LYNCH / Hell Of A Night (Broken Bow) 3 EASTON CORBIN / Baby Be My Love Song (Mercury) 3 GLORIANA / Trouble (Emblem/Warner Bros./WAR) 3 JOE NICHOLS / Hard To Be Cool (Red Bow) 3 LITTLE BIG TOWN / Girl Crush (Capitol) 3 MICKEY GUYTON / Better Than You Left Me (Capitol) 3 RASCAL FLATTS / Riot (Big Machine) 3 SAM HUNT / Take Your Time (MCA) 2 BILLY CURRINGTON / Don't It (Mercury) 2 CAM / My Mistake (Arista) 2 DAN + SHAY / Nothin' Like You (Warner Bros./WAR) 2 ERIC CHURCH / Like A Wrecking Ball (EMI) 2 ERIC PASLAY / She Don't Love You (EMI) 2 JOSH DORR / Save Your Breath (RCA) 2 RODNEY ATKINS / Eat Sleep Love You Repeat (Curb) 1 BRANDY CLARK / Hold My Hand (Slate Creek) 1 DAVID FANNING / Doin' Country Right (Red Bow) 1 DIERKS BENTLEY / Riser (Capitol) 1 FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE / Sippin' On Fire (Republic Nashville) 1 HALEY & MICHAELS / Just Another Love Song (H&M/New Revolution) 1 JASON CASSIDY / Cowboy Girl (Nine North/Turnpike/Edgehill) 1 LOGAN MIZE / Can't Get Away From A Good Time (Arista) 1 MONTGOMERY GENTRY / Folks Like Us (Blaster) 1 RACHELE LYNAE / Whole Lotta Nothin' (Momentum/In2une) 1 SAM HUNT / House Party (MCA) 1 STRIKING MATCHES / Hanging On A Lie (I.R.S.) 1 THE SWON BROTHERS / Pray For You (Arista) 1 TOBY KEITH / Drunk Americans (Show Dog) 1 TRISHA YEARWOOD / I Remember You (Gwendolyn/RCA) 1 ZAC BROWN BAND / Homegrown (Southern Ground/Varvatos/BMLG)

Hello, add for Riser. I am sure it's a one-off in the wake of Dierks' Letterman appearance, but also saw it was 'new & active' on BB with an audience of 196k.

Everybody wants to capitalize on the buzz right after CRS. A lot of labels are probably figuring that many programmers won't be back home until the 2nd or so and that they'll spend the first week of March deciding which new songs they want to add. I expect Logan, EYB, and Eric Church to get quite a few adds, and I think Ashley Monroe will get a moderate amount as well. I think Montgomery Gentry will have their adds spread out over 2 weeks and I don't think they'll get that many out of the gate anyway. Unfortunately I don't see Trisha getting too many adds, and I doubt that Ruth Collins gets a ton of adds either (she'll probably do decently well in secondary markets though).

I should have realized that. That makes a ton more sense now why that many songs are going for adds that day.

Even with the CRS factor (which I did take into account before being bummed at the 9th add date for Ashley), I still think waiting a week is the better play of I'm Warner. Not to say that "On To Something Good" won't get many adds - I agree with jhomes87 that she'll get a moderate amount, but I feel that it's only going to put her song behind the 8 ball sending it for adds the week of Eric, EYB and one of the most highly anticipated debuts of the past 6 months with Logan Mize. That being said, I still think Warner is going to do their best to get Ashley's song as high as possible and give it a real shot at mainstream country radio. Should be interesting though come March.

02/23/15 Mediabase Adds
(there were a lot of songs--"Make Me Wanna", "Sun Daze", "I See You", etc.--listed on the adds report with 3 adds but I didn't include most of them since the 3 adds were only because 3 new stations were added to the panel)

Top 10 story here: Not too often every single gets the number of adds I expected but that was the case this week. Logan's I thought could get 40, but considering the EYB, Eric and Ashley competition, 32 is fine.
