Personally excited by a lot of the info in the newsletter but Krystal Keith putting out a second album caught my eye as something to look forward to!  I think she's working on a new EP. And she and her labelmate Lance Carpenter just released a song together, Anyone Else. |

Dierks has removed his profile picture and cover picture on Facebook and posted a 6-second video of a forest, so I'm assuming the new music rollout is starting!

New Dierks Bentley and Dan + Shay in the next few weeks?! I'm all here for that!
I wonder for both of them if the reason their last singles stalled was because radio wasn't interested or if they knew these new singles were coming and wanted to get them out asap. Could be a combination of both, like if they knew the songs would struggle so they just pulled them and moved on right away. Either way I'm super excited because I loved both artists' last albums.

Could be a combination of both, like if they knew the songs would struggle so they just pulled them and moved on right away. Either way I'm super excited because I loved both artists' last albums. I feel like both of those singles were treated like a non soundtrack single (think back over 3 years ago when "Gentle On My Mind" by The Band Perry performed) I think both UMG Nashville for Dierks Bentley and Warner Bros for Dan + Shay were initially in on "What The Hell Did I Say" and "Road Trippin" as kind of like a filter single before new music came out but once the research came back and it was negative both labels probably thought "Eh, is it really worth promoting this song when we know they'll be new music sooner than later". That's my theory on the whole situation if you ask me. |

Dierks has been playing a couple new songs at his concerts. One called "Burning Man" and the other is called "Living". I've always thought Dierks is at his absolute best when he does traveller, lonesome, journeyman type songs. It's something about the grit in his voice on songs like "Free and Easy," "Lot of Leavin'," "Long Trip Alone," "Home," "Draw Me a Map," and "Say You Do" among others. The teasers seem to reference the forest/mountains so I'm hoping it's a song like that and Lord please let there be a country instrument in it.

A third teaser video was posted to Dierks' Facebook yesterday. (Sidenote: I feel like he's teasing Timberlake's Man of the Woods LOL!)
Since they seem to be posting more frequently, I think maybe we'll have more into this week, new single by next Friday?

In Country Aircheck tonight. It says that Stoney Creek artist Jimmie Allen is on his first week of his radio tour so I'd expect him to have his debut single in late February to sometime in April.

This is what I got from Thompson Square´s newsletter some days ago:
"We know it’s been some time since you have had any new music from us. We are going to fix this in January. We will be releasing new music to Spotify, Pandora, Itunes and all other outlets. We’ll be doing this on a regular basis leading up to the album release that is slotted for April."
