Newly signed To MCA Nashville, Kassi Ashton also has a new single out today called “California, Missouri”. Not sure if it’s a radio single or not yet though.

So I decided to listen too the new songs from Kassi Ashton and Tegan Marie. Oh boy do I have some thoughts on both of them.
For the Tegan Marie song "Keep It Lit". I really don't mind it. It's a fun, youthful song and I kind of like the production as well. I don't think she's a great vocalist, but I like her. If it's released to radio, I can actually see it making a dent on the charts.
Now Kassi Ashton. I actually think she has talent and when she sings, she sounds great. Here's the problem, the spoken word(?) parts of "California Missouri" are just so uninteresting at best and they just don't sound appealing at all. I really hope she has better material than this as I feel like this song just seems like a total flop of a debut single and from what I've seen she seems like she could have that potential star power.

I have listened to both songs, I like Kassi's for a lot a things (lyrics, production), but I think it's the wrong debut single, and the way she sings it sounds forced at times...Tegan's is a sweet been-done-100-times before youthful song which I supposed it's catchy enough. She looks about 12, that should be irrelevant but her voice sounds quite young as well. I think if her voice matures a bit and given she co-wrote the song, that's something to keep in mind even if the song is not my cup of tea.

Local TV station is saying Brad Paisley's next single is "Go To Bed Early" to tie in with Sleep Number commercials.

Yeah, you've made that well known over multiple threads many times. Your reasoning or lack of never really supports why you think this. Seems like something you'd personally rather see than anything. I personally don't see why he should be dropped. His debut single was a Top 20 hit and their are far worst performing singers on labels who have record deals Also I'm excited to hear this as I kinda like Trent Harmon as a vocalist so I'm excited.

Wonder if "No Good Place To Cry" is Housers lead single?

Got a question. Is Jake Owen still signed to a record deal? If so why didn’t they release one of the new singles from his Greatest Hits album to radio? Or does he have a new single or album coming soon?

Or does he have a new single or album coming soon? The Greatest Hits album was with RCA Nashville. There were supposedly differences in musical direction between Jake & the label which led to him leaving the label. He's now signed to Big Loud Records. musicrow.com/2017/11/big-loud-records-signs-jake-owen/

Jake Owen is on Big Loud Records which also has artists Chris Lane, Morgan Wallen, and Jillian Jacqueline.
As for why there was no single from the Greatest Hits album. I'm pretty sure Jake Owen was starting to head out of the label before the GH album was even released and it makes no sense for a label to promote a song from an artist that isn't even on your label anymore.
