I think you just answered your own question there... we all know it's fake so there wasn't really an urge to post it here...

Ok to be honest, I know those lyrics are full of typos and stuff, however, they do seem pretty legit. It is possible someone got a hold of the song and quickly went to type the lyrics up while listening. Is it not?
Why would they put (laughing) at the end? I'm just thinking that these may be the lyrics, just typed up by someone who got a hold of the song. There are people out there with access to things like these. There is even a poster on this board who has heard parts of Carrie's 4th album.
So I'm just saying, I don't think it's totally out of the question that those are the legit lyrics, regardless of the typos and all that.

If those are the lyrics, I'm going to be highly disappointed and pissed that we've had to wait so long for that mess. Not good at all.... Also, it boggles my mind how people can think that where people sit determines if they've won an award or not. This is the Grammys not the People's Choice awards!! LMAO ETA: Now watch, those WILL be the lyrics and everyone will love them! lol

LMAO I was kidding in saying that about the seat. I was just trying to be optimistic... Also, lyrics on paper can be disappointing but a melody and all that can really make all the difference.

^^ Very true, but I don't believe anything until it's official, although the speculation is entertaining.

Carrie will not sing or write a song with damn and hell in it. She even changed the lyrics of SWISLY from 'it'll hurt like hell' to 'it'll break my heart'. Those lyrics seem to be written by a twelve year-old.

Front row? That could mean something? I think it means they sat her next to Tony Bennett :). Are they really going to get to release "Good Girl" on their own terms? I'm torn somewhere between I hope so and I want to hear it now.

I really hope they're successful in holding off until the 23rd. However, I can't promise that I wouldn't listen to the song if it were released today and download it to my computer/listen to it on repeat until the high quality version came out.

Just thinking out loud...
So Small, after a full week of airplay, debuted at #20 on Billboard with 13.044M AIs. To date, it still holds the record for highest debut by a solo female country artist. On Country Aircheck/Mediabase, SS debuted at #25 with 11.484M AIs.
Cowboy Casanova, rush released after leaking, thus with only 4 full days of airplay, debuted #26 on Billboard with 7.171M AIs. On CA/MB, CC debuted at #35 with 5.99M AIs.
Good Girl is supposed to be released to country radio on Feb 23, Thursday. The press releases have specifically used the term "released" instead of saying adds date. Maybe they were using the term generally, as majority do not distinguish between the two. However, if they do plan to specifically "release" the track on Feb 23, there are several possible reasons why. Here's some food for thought:
- CC leaked on Wed evening, which is almost equivalent to a Thursday, yes? Even with a shortened first chart week, CC reached #1 in 10 chart weeks, Carrie's fastest-moving single. Counting the chart weeks for Good Girl, if released on Feb 23 (Thursday) up to the May 1 album release date-- 10 chart weeks. So yes, it is possible for GG to be #1 by the time the album is released. Take note, possible.
- You'd think Monday is the ideal day to release the track via MPE to radio to maximize the chart week. Note, however, that So Small's full week, which gave Carrie her record-setting debut, took 16 and 17 weeks to reach #1 on Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase respectively. Longer than CC's 10 weeks. *pause for the argument that CC was more radio-friendly than SS*
- For GG to beat SS, in other words for Carrie to beat herself, looking at the current charts, GG would need around 13M AIs for Billboard and 16M for Mediabase. It's doable since radio is chomping at the bit, but why bother? Is it really worth it to go for it? *pause for those who respond with a resounding YES!*

Those are so fake. I'm sure a bad girl would have better things to do than "youtubeing NBD Worldwide."

It's some YT channel that uploads music video parodies which are supposed to be hilarious...but aren't in the least. I actually think whoever runs that channel is probably behind these fake lyrics b/c that shout-out is just too random.

First of all, those lyrics are totally horrendous. Unless Carrie is wanting to throw away her career and never be heard from again, those are totally not the lyrics. Second, as CarrieUfan said, Carrie would not curse in her songs. Third, remember Carrie saying that the song 'blew everyone away'? I cannot fathom how these lyrics could blow anyone away in any way unless for a completely negative way. But Carrie and her label are not going to throw away her career so there is NO way these 'lyrics' are even remotely close to what the real lyrics are.

I think it's funny people are so upset about these lyrics. They're obviously not real so I don't get the fuss, lol. I don't think that there's any need to worry people, so settle down.

Whoever wrote these fake lyrics is probably trying to force Carrie into releasing the actual lyrics .... trying to get fans all fired up that the lyrics are awful... too bad we are too smart to believe Carrie would actually release a song with those lyrics :)

Carrie and Tony had their duet rehearsal today for the grammy's.. They are also going to present Best New Artist award too.. Performance and presenting! It's so strange to see Carrie presenting BNA since she won only 5 years ago. Crazy how time flies, and it's crazy as to how much has happened since then. Gotta love how some things come full circle. <3

Well at least we know for sure there is no way Carrie will be cut off in international airings of Grammy like some other years :)

The New Release Schedule now has an opening week estimate of 300k for Carrie Underwood. Still a May 1 release date.... How accurate are these estimates? That seems like a high number for Carrie, considering the long break.

Here's a video about the Grammy seating, in case anyone is interested. Carrie is in front of Jay Z and Alicia Keys; not sure who else is around her. I still can't quite tell if it's front row, but it kind of looks like it is. If so, hopefully for us fans that'll mean Carrie will get more face time on the broadcast.

I'm hoping it's more in line with Carnival Ride's opening week which was more than 500 thousand...I believe all of Carrie's albums debut in the 300T and above range.

Carnival Ride debuted so high (above 500k) because it's Carrie sophomore album and BHC was still so huge at that time, so the buzz was absolutely huge. Indeed, All of Carrie's albums opened above 300k. However, they all were released in the prime of album sales. This upcoming album is a lil tricky. Considering Carrie's a huge act, she would do at least 200k. But if GOOD GIRL do really well, 300k would do.

There definitely won't be a 500k + opening unless GG smashes in multiple genres. Assuming it smashes in just Country, she should do minimum 200k. If the promotion is perfect in terms of radio, TV, etc, she'll do close to or just above 300k. As said above, it's tricky because this is the first time she's releasing in the Spring. Usually she released right in time for prime holiday shopping. That won't be the case so the variables are all different.
