She should've done See You Again live instead of playing the album track. I don't know what's keeping her from singing some of the greatest songs of the album live. But she sounded fantastic.

I've heard from a few people that the Carrie duet is a planned single, likely around album release time. Should be interesting to see if they'll promote it at both country and rock radio, or just choose one.

They REALLY REALLY need to unleash BLOWN AWAY single to radio NOW and the video VERY SOON, because BLOWN AWAY (album) keeps decreasing week to week. It's not even projected to sell 17k this week.

Waiting to release Blown Away was definitely a mistake, since Good Girl really took its time to reach the top. Right now, she has no single out on radio and Good Girl's impact has long gone, which is causing this losses. I'm glad Carrie can sell records, otherwise I'd be afraid this wouldn't go up.

AMERICAN country music star Carrie Underwood, pictured, wowed Tamworth fans last night with her good looks and talent, performing to a full house at her one-off concert.

After kicking off with her popular single Good Girl, the blonde songstress had the

5000-strong audience at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre singing and dancing along throughout a two-hour performance.

A sea of mobile phones held above heads filled the air as fans recorded the American star’s down-under gig, the only one in a regional centre.

Irish-Australian singer Damien Leith began the night’s show, the former Australian Idol winner covering Roy Orbison classics and performing some of his original songs.

But the night belonged to 2005 American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, the mostly female audience erupting into cheers and wild applause throughout the show.

Dressed to impress, the Grammy Award-winner gave the audience a taste of her popular chart songs with a little bit of gospel thrown in for good measure.

Underwood radiant in Brisbane show

IF songs are an artist's babies then Carrie Underwood is one proud mother. And boy does she love what she does.

Standing on stage at her Brisbane leg of the Blown Away tour, the country-pop songbird was radiant as she introduced the first single she released post American Idol - Jesus, Take the Wheel.

She humbly described to the crowd her rise to fame and success but spoke with a sense of pride of the song and the special place it held in her heart.

It is this earnestness that is so endearing about Underwood. Her powerhouse vocals are delivered with a smile, a spring in her step and broken up by giggles and expressions of gratitude to the audience.

Dressed in cowboy boots, bedazzled denim shorts and plenty of bling with her mane of blonde hair free-flowing she is a visual representation of her music. A little bit pop, a little bit country, a side of rock and good serving of girl-next-door.

Kicking off her performance with Good Girl, she was straight into the action and was a ball of energy as she worked through her hits from her latest album, Blown Away, mixed in with her previous hits from the last seven years.

Paying tribute to the "great artists Australia has to offer" she belted out a cover of Inxs's Never Tear Us Apart, also making sure to share plenty of banter with both her band and the crowd between each song.

There is no fancy set, back-up dancers, or elaborate costume changes, just Underwood, her band and her voice. And that's all she really needs as is evident by the cheers at the end of each song.

The encore seemed a little contrived as the show ended before she had even played the title track of the tour. But a show without an encore these days are like an undercooked steak - very rare.

Her performance was a joy to watch quite simply because it was evident performing brought so much joy to her.

Damien Leith who opened the show gave a buoyant and energetic performance and interacted with the crowd with a cheeky boyish charm. His genuine love for music and performing shone throughout and demonstrated that Australian Idol can unearth just as much talent as its American counterpart.

Slowly but surely, Carrie Underwood has been co-writing more and more songs. And I thought they'd been for her own albums. But Lauren Alaina's newest tune, "Eighteen Inches," was co-written by Underwood, Kelley Lovelace and Ashley Gorley.

And when I met newcomer Rachel Holder last month, she told me Underwood had written a song on her debut album, too. It's called "Lord Help Me." Underwood co-wrote that one with Katrina Elam and Ashley Monroe, and it has a "Lord help me, I'm fallin' in love"kind of vibe. I think Holder's voice will be perfect for it. But then again, so would Underwood's.

It always makes me wonder how songwriters decide which songs to keep and which ones to give away. I know with "Eighteen Inches," Underwood is glad Alaina is the one singing it.

"It's so wonderful when a song you had a hand in writing finds the perfect home," Underwood said. "Lauren's voice tells the story of 'Eighteen Inches' beautifully. What an incredible talent!" The song, about how there are 18 inches from your head to your heart, goes to radio on July 16.

BA must of been sent to radio as it got 22 adds today, so it should start taking off on radio.

Nice to see she's slowly getting those co-writes out. Lord Help Me is a great song, but maybe I would've preferred if Rached had recorded a song of Carrie that we still haven't heard.

Anyway, considering she's a newcomer and she's on Curb, we'll be lucky if we ever get to hear her recording of Lord Help Me... She's gonna need a big hit first...Look what happened with the cowrite on Julianne Hough's album too.

Oh, and it's nice to see that no one has recorded Oklahoma Wind yet. Still wishing she's keeping it for her.

I remember hearing "Lord Help Me" and I didn't think it was that great...I know a lot of other fans were hoping Carrie wouldn't include it on her album. But I am really happy to see Carrie co-writes being recorded by other artists. Did Julianne Hough's album ever get released? I know she has a Carrie co-write on there ("I'll Be the DJ"), and it is pretty good. I have it on my iPod. :)
