18 20 CARRIE UNDERWOOD 19/ARISTA NASHVILLE 15,136 -16% BLOWN AWAY BLOWN AWAY should stabilize the sales in the next 2-3 weeks. The sales are not looking good, but if we compare to the other singers, the sales are looking quite good. lol. how ironic. BLOWN AWAY pass 600k this week. yay! Crying RN. Quoting from Cary from CF.com : '' BA cracks the top 50. It is currently at #50 with 128 spins and 1.467 million AIs. '' Why does that make you cry? because BA was able to crack top 50 in just 1 day. crying as in happy cry. lol

It should get to platinum, maybe with a rerelease down the line, a bit higher. Maybe they should put it on sale on itunes (like $7.99 or $8.99) the week the BA video comes out.

I wish Carrie's team would be a bit more aggressive with sale prices. I don't think I've seen BA any cheaper than $9.99 since its release. Likewise, I can't recall any previous albums being priced lower than $7.99.
Hopefully they have something planned to help further boost sales around Christmas time. I hope the album can at least outsell Play On when all is said and done.

Does the fact that Carrie's been singing 'TBC' in concert mean that it won't be a single? I hope that's not the case. TBC has got to be a single.

I don't think overseas tour setlist is a good indication of what's going to be a single at all. Being her first overseas tour, she's just trying to have a setlist as diverse as possible to introduce her music to overseas audience. The setlist for US is surely going to be pretty different, with more focus on BA album. Plus, she never sung Wine After Whiskey, Good in Goodbye or See You Again too... doesn't mean they are going to be singles either.

She does a really great UK accent... I say UK because there are so many different accents over there. It's funny, is it easier for Americans to do UK accents as opposed to the other way around?

It's crazy, reading that article, Kelly and Carrie are so close in terms of sales. Their combined total is probably more than the rest of the Idols combined, or considerably close counting the moderate success of the other Idols (Jordin, Scotty, Fantasia, Ruben, Clay, etc)...

Yes they are very close ...as long as you ignore the fact that one is counting the sales of 5 albums and the other is counting the sales of 4. One's most recent album is 9 weeks old, while the other is 36 weeks old.

I find it amazing that BHC still sells about 250k/yr in its 7th year. BHC will probably get to 4 million. It's on sale for 69 cents on iTunes.

Yea, if Carrie and Kelly had both been on the first Idol, one winning and the other coming in second and then both had obtained contracts to record, and had their albums released within 2 weeks of each other, the comparisons could be made fairly. But, the comparisons will be made, fairly or otherwise. The way I see it, they both are great singers(IMO the two best singers to come out of Idol), one is pop, the other is country, they both sell very well, they both have great careers. Nuff said.

The only reason they are compared is because they are both great vocalists that won American Idol, and are its two biggest success stories. Otherwise, they really have nothing in common. I always wonder why there's so many comparisons and battles between female artists' fan bases, but really none between the males. Seems like the media can't just let female artists be their own person and performer without bringing up comparisons or competitions.

Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine (fourth and fifth place from Idol Season 11) are performing Undo It as a duet on the Idols tour all summer.

Skylar did well and got into it. Hollie, although sounding decently, was stiff as a fucking board. For a spitfire song like UI, you've got to at least move and have some fun.
