Does anyone else just see GIG as an album track? I love it, but I don't really want it to be a single.

For single #3, it should definitely be more a more light-hearted song. Because Blown Away is so dark, it would be nice to change directions a bit to give people a different taste of what the album has to offer. DYTAM reminds me alot of The Night Before... from Some Hearts. It really does give you a warm feeling inside even if you have never been in love.  I'm willing to bet anything that OWT will be a single down the line, as well as GIG. I see them throwing WAW out there later on too. |

The only songs I DEFINITELY see as singles are "Two Black Cadillacs" and "Cupid's Got a Shotgun". If there are 5 or more singles, then I could see "One Way Ticket" and maybe "Do You Think About Me" getting released, although I doubt there will be 6 singles.

Blown Away and Do You Think About Me have been my two favorites from the start, but all the other songs on the album (except for Thank God For Hometowns, Who Are You, and One Way Ticket) have all taken turns being on my list as songs I want as singles from this album. It's really awesome that there are so many great songs on this album that all us fans can't even decide which ones we want as singles  |

I really hope "Cupid's Got a Shotgun" isn't a single. To me, it just seems kind of obnoxious. But then again, I don't get why everyone seems to hate "Thank God For Hometowns." Maybe I'm just weird. The production and overall feel of "Thank God For Hometowns" makes me think of "Hometown Glory" sometimes.

After "Cadillacs," they have a bunch of choices that could all do well. I'm afraid that "Cupid" will get chosen though.

I like Cupid's Got A Shotgun but it burns so quickly on me. There's nothing new with it, Carrie's done it before.
My single choices :

BA wasn't my love-at-first-listen-to-the-album track, but when it clicked with me, I was OBSESSED. For a few days, it was all I played to and from work... over and over and over again. I paid attention to the sound of every single instrument and every layer of Carrie's vocals. Obsessed, I tell you! This is THE statement single of the album and I have no doubt it will be given the most promotion. (See: private, red-carpet event for the premiere of the video; attended by no less than Carrie) DYTAM always makes me smile. Without fail. It's one of my faves on the album. I agree that it would be a great follow-up to the darker, dramatically-produced BA. Carrie's vocals here are just so pure and clear and sweet and... lovable. It would make a great transition to.... TBC, my love-at-first-listen-to-the-album track. During the fan club listening party, I started saying "woooow" repeatedly as this song was playing. I love the sound, the melody, the vocals. I love this song! I couldn't even pay attention when the next song started playing because I was still thinking about TBC with my thought process going wild: "OMG, they killed him??! They killed him! I wonder how..." Needless to say, I like the lack of details because I liked thinking up scenarios. I love how the instrumentation continues even after Carrie stops singing. IMO, it adds to the drama. When the percussion kicks in... *drools*. |

I saw that. At the end, the flier reads God Hates Carrie Underwood. Man, that takes alot of all-knowing to actually say what God thinks. Instead of hurting Carrie, these people are actually pointing out how tolerant/loving of others she is, and will backfire against what they're trying to do. Yea, in this case, supposedly bad PR is good PR. These people are literally insane. They keep on doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Yeah she's still in Nashville, the guy that tweeted is located there.
Hopefully the BTM special is for the fall.
That "church" is amazing in the amount of hate they harbor for everything.

Supposedly, they're waiting for a radio contest winning station to debut the video before everyone else sees in on CMT/GAC etc, or something to that effect. All I know is that it's been a while since the last video was released. They're taking their sweet time with this one. I've also read, but nothing official, that the video is extra long, 6-9 minutes long.
