Not yet. All we know is that the release party for the video, which is taking place in San Antonio, TX, is happening on July 28th. I would imagine it would be released to the public not long after.

Mix 104.1 Music Director Mike Mullaney was backstage with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith at the band's concert last night at the TD Garden. Tyler gave him a sneak preview of the band's new album Music From Another Dimension with samples of each track, and Mullaney was very impressed with what he heard.

He heard a handful of standout ballads, which he believes you will hear on Mix 104.1 soon. One of the tracks contains a duet with Tyler and Carrie Underwood, and another features Tyler on piano, which he doesn't do often but does "very well."

Mullaney believes the new LP is Aerosmith's best work since 1989's Pump, which contained the classic "Janie's Got a Gun." So it sounds like Aerosmith are back and as good as they've sounded in decades!

Yes - its adds date for Country was July 9.

And no Pop release yet, and there probably won't be one because of Carrie's contractual obligations with Sony Nashville and how they don't do any work with Pop radio whatsoever, blah blah blah, not releasing it to Pop is stupid, etc.

Well, they could set an adds date for pop radio, just like they gave an HAC adds date for GG, but they won't have much means to do anything other than that. Carrie's promo team has a working relationship/connections with country radio. She'd have to have a different team working pop and other formats, like Taylor has Universal working her songs to pop radio (and not her Big Machine team).... but, she won't. That contractual thing you're talking about was Carrie's decision. She chose to leave [then] Arista New York out of the equation when she re-negotiated her contract. "Blown Away" has to blow up on its own in other formats.

Kelly Clarkson Endorses Carrie Underwood as New American Idol Judge


Kelly Clarkson does not want to be a new judge on American Idol -- but she's more than happy to volunteer someone else!

The Duets mentor chatted with Us Weekly at the final taping of the ABC show on Friday about the recent shake-up at FOX's American Idol.

After Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler left the show, Clarkson -- who won American Idol in 2002 -- says she would not want to take one of their judge's seats.

"I don't want to be a judge. Mentor is more my style," she told Us. "And not just mentoring, getting to be a part of the song with them, getting them amped up -- from our rehearsals to stage, it's so exciting being onstage. It's fun!"

But Clarkson, 30, thinks 2005's American Idol winner Carrie Underwood would be the perfect new judge for the show.
"She would! Didn't she major in journalism or something?" Clarkson said of the 29-year-old country singer. Indeed, Underwood did graduate from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla. in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in mass communication with an emphasis in journalism. "And she can have that face . . . that bluff face! She can put that on! She would be good."

Other rumors for new Idol judges include Mariah Carey. But her husband Nick Cannon joked the show couldn't afford to hire his wife!

"I don't know if they could afford a Mariah Carey, though. That's a lot of money," he joked with TMZ. "I mean they gave J.Lo $20 million, they might have to double that."

People seem to be missing the point. Sure, they could give "Blown Away" an adds date on other formats, but Arista Nashville doesn't have the resources to promote the song outside of country. Without that promo, the song's chances of blowing up are slim to none due to the nature of the industry these days. It was Carrie's decision to cut her ties with Arista New York after the 'Some Hearts' album, so clearly she doesn't care much about crossover success.

I agree that it may be a mistake & she had potential to be monster huge, but it's her choice at the end of the day.

Sure, her album sales would be better, but I think ''NEEDS'' is a bit excessive. Blown Away is already gold while only one single has been released. Her digital songs have sold really well, she has ten platinum singles, she's only behind Taylor. Every song she has released to country radio so far has at least hit the top 2. Arista doesn't really have the connections, like has been said. And I honestly don't think Carrie is interested in crossing over. She's a country artist and she's doing fine on the format. Not to mention Good Girl peaked just outside the top 20 of HAC. I think Blown Away will have a higher peak, though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Good Girl get Hot AC treatment? Just because Arista isn't pursuing Pop success doesn't mean they "can't afford it." Carrie is doing an international promotional blitz and they're trying to get her song to be played all over the international key markets and you think they can't "afford" to send them to Pop radio in the states? I just think there is no demand for an artist like Carrie Underwood on Pop radio right now and her music wouldn't fit in, and they know it, that's why they're not going after it because it would be a waste of money and effort.

You keep putting "can't afford it" in quotation marks as if that's something I discussed in my post, which I did not. Never did I mention anything about Arista Nashville not being able to "afford" it. I said they don't have the resources to promote the song, meaning that they don't have connections at HAC/AC/Pop stations to push the song any further than simply giving it an adds date. My comments have nothing to do with money. And as far as I know, giving a song an adds date doesn't cost money.

All that was done for "Good Girl" on HAC was giving it an adds date. It received no extra promotion outside of that from the label. Had it received extra promotion, I could see it having charted at least in the top 10. But Carrie and her team seem content with focusing on country.

She is being promoted as a Country artist internationally and not pop artist. So her music is being pushed to Country radio stations overseas. Carrie made the decision to redo her contract and eliminate the role of Arista New York and leave everything up to Arista Nashville.

I honestly do not see them ever sending any of her songs to pop radio specifically unless it has already crossed over on its own.

If BLOWN AWAY doesn't get airplay from Pop Radio, then i really hope it will smash Country radio like she did with JTTW (#1 for 6 weeks) and i hope BA will top HOT AC radio and at least chart in AC radio.
