I agree. I definitely want TBC as a single at some point, but I feel like it should be spaced out from BA. 1) because I kind of want something a bit lighter after GG and BA, and 2) because I don't want BA and TBC competing with each other for any awards or acclaim. ;)

Good news on "BA."

Is "Truck Yeah" really doing that well? That is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. I used to be a huge Tim fan (back when he released quality material like "Please Remember Me" and "Angry All The Time"), but this new song is utter crap.

Re: the CMA Songwriters Series-- That was a GREAT show! I love watching songwriters strut their stuff. I love acoustic concerts. And I love Carrie singing acoustically. So that show pressed all my pleasure buttons. "Temporary Home" was especially amazing. I know a lot of Carrie fans aren't really fans of that song, but I love it... and you can see Carrie's heart and soul when she sings that one.

Remember when Carrie went huge with her Play On tour? She said she was going for it and if that flopped, her next tour would be an acoustic one. Gotta say, that was the one and only time I kinda hoped Carrie would flop a little... just because I want an acoustic tour!

Concert review- Underwood with songwriters give night to remember

Excerpts:

Underwood was the reason the gig sold out so fast - there was no doubt about it with the crowd filled with young, mainly female teens. And with good reason. Host DiPiero called out Underwood as the best singer he has ever heard.

He just may be right. It is one thing to do the job in the studio where tricks can make the voices sound better than they really are. Underwood made it exceedingly clear she truly is a great singer. She was stellar on every song she performed, her voice soaring (Good Girl, the title track from her new disc) and laying a bit low (Temporary Home).

The acoustic setting gave Underwood the chance to change it up a bit from her band shows, giving a different interpretation of the songs from her CDs.

The night proved to be a real treat. Not only was it educational to learn the where the hits came from, but the chance to hear Underwood in a totally outside-her-comfort zone type setting also proved valuable. Underwood demonstrated quite clearly she was no studio creation.

It was pretty clear at the end that there was nothing left of the house so we can assume he died. The symbolism points in that direction too. The clouds cleared and it was sunny and bright. There was even a rainbow.

Celebrities to honor teachers in new CBS special

In conjunction with the new Walden Media movie, Won't Back Down, Walmart is presenting a live concert special honoring teachers to air on CBS on Friday, August 17th. The concert will take place at the Nokia Theatre from 8PM-9PM ET. The "Teachers Rock" special will include country performances by Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, and Dierks Bentley.

Also scheduled are personal recollections from a variety of celebrities including Meryl Streep, Miranda Cosgrove, and Adam Levine.

Tickets for the event are on sale now. Proceeds will be split amongst DonorsChoose.org, Feeding America, and Teach For America.
