"Don't Forget to Remember Me"!
It has been a long time since she's done that! Would love to hear it eventually!

Don't Forget To Remember Me is her most underrated single, in my opinion. It's always been one of my favorites of hers.

She sounded fantastic yesterday at the Opry. Loved the variety of the songs she did. First show: Flat on the Floor Wasted Don't Forget to Remember Me Good Girl Second show: Nobody Ever Told You I Told You So Cupid's Got a Shotgun :( I miss Vinman. Hope he knows he was appreciated and I hope that all is ok with him.

There's a link to download both shows though, I found it on Carriefans. Talking about the Opry:

Her adoration for Nobody Ever Told You is not okay. Wine After Whiskey, Good in Goodbye, or See You Again, please & thank you.

Don't Forget To Remember Me is her most underrated single, in my opinion. It's always been one of my favorites of hers. It really is underrated. The lyrics and vocals are flawless. It just had the misfortune of being released in between Carrie's two signature songs. Having said that, I think the order for the first album couldn't have been better. Obviously, we've seen how it's all worked out for her. Her adoration for Nobody Ever Told You is not okay. Wine After Whiskey, Good in Goodbye, or See You Again, please & thank you. I agree, except definitely not See You Again and change Good in Goodbye to Do You Think About Me (although Good In Goodbye has grown on me some, so now, I would live with that choice). But please not Nobody Ever Told You. The production is interesting, and it's cute...but no. Anyway, I wanted to put in my two cents on the video. First off, I loved the visuals. The lightening and tornado looked real. I couldn't be more thrilled that Carrie axed Roman....excellent decision. After he murdered Just A Dream (which had the potential to be a blockbuster video), he didn't deserve to produce anymore Carrie videos (He got Before He Cheats just right, but that was pretty much the only time). I think Carrie pulled off the part really well. I know some were wanting a little girl to play the part, but to me, the song topic was just too mature for a little girl's mind. A little girl would not think "sweet revenge." I always thought of the girl as a young adult. And, to those who say "Why not leave then?", I don't think it's fair to say that. I've personally never been in that situation or known anyone, but all the commentaries and stories I've ever seen, these girls are too scared to leave home. Whenever I hear "wash the sins out of the house", I think of more than just abuse. I think of molestation. Victims who have went through that usually have so many issues. This leads me to the things that disappointed me about the video. I was disappointed that the "revenge" aspect of the song didn't seem to fit with the video. Carrie seems really sorry that she leaves her dad on the couch. It seems that she just couldn't get him to wake up, and the storm was getting close. Therefore, she had no choice but to leave him. I was hoping for more of a bittersweet grin, or perhaps drink out of his own bottle as one of the earlier (false) descriptions stated (which would demonstrate that she isn't sure if leaving him on the couch is the best decision, but she decides to do it anyway and needs a drink. It could also show that perhaps she will follow the same path as he will in the future. After all, she is, in a way, killing him, just like presumably, he killed her mother). As others said, I would have preferred that the opening scene actually showed more, like the dad hitting her or being sexual towards her. However, I think it is clear by the beer bottle he's drinking right before and his later scenes that he is the bad guy, not her. So, I don't think that's an issue. I did notice that later in the video, it shows him actually yanking her arm really hard, whereas in the opening, he doesn't really yank that hard). Finally, I wish the ending was different (and yes, I understand what it means). Seeing a little more destruction of the home would have been nice. I didn't need to see the house (and the dad) completely destroyed and blown away, but I would have liked to have seen a bit more than what we got. And, I would have preferred to see the ending without the rainbows, little dog, and sunny skies. Instead, Carrie comes out, sees the destroyed house, and grins and walks away. One other thing that bothers me is that in the video, the house is completely gone. A tornado would not completely disintegrate a home. There would still be the base left. All in all, I did enjoy the video, but I felt it fell just a little short. Still, it's by far one of her best videos (the best produced video from her yet).

Sidenote, but I'm always surprised when people trash the JAD video. It's always been one of my absolute favorite Carrie videos ever.

Sidenote, but I'm always surprised when people trash the JAD video. It's always been one of my absolute favorite Carrie videos ever. As the poster above me said, the effects were simply terrible. Nothing was wrong with Carrie's performance. I was actually surprised at how convincing she was in the role. She's a pretty good actress for not having much experience. The video concept could have been much better (in my opinion), but the effects are what ruined the video. If you enjoyed it, good for you, but I find it interesting that it was the last video Roman produced for Carrie. Coincidence? Maybe....or maybe not.

I'm glad Carrie has branched out with video directors since then. It seems like she works with a new director almost every video now, which I think keeps things fresh, interesting, and much less predictable. It also must be great for the directors to add a Carrie Underwood video to their resume (and all the CMT Awards that usually come with it.)

And I've always thought some of the Roman White video's looked really cheap. I loved the video's we got from the Play On era, although the singles were not all my favorite choices, the video's were all solid - even the video for Undo It.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I love Carrie's earlier videos and am not as crazy about the ones from the Play On era to the present. I didn't love Jesus, Take the Wheel but Wasted, DFTRM and BHC were all great imho. I love Just a Dream and I think I'm not alone here as it has the second most views on Vevo second only to BHC and way ahead of anything else. To each his/her own I guess and that's what makes the world go around. I'm disappointed in the BA video. It should have been an epic video but it falls short for me. There are a lot of good things about it but it could have been so much better. There was so much potential with that song to make a great video but for me it doesn't work. jmho.

Am I the only one dying for a live performance of "Who Are You"?
As far as Carrie's videos go, I think the biggest disappointment for me was the "Cowboy Casanova" video. It had so much potential, but it really wasn't anything memorable. And so far, I haven't really been impressed with the videos from this era either. Aside from the fact that Carrie always looks amazing in her videos.
All of the videos from the "Some Hearts" era were perfect, but some reason I think the "So Small" video is my favorite. Not sure why, but I just love that video so much.

Did my duty by moving all of the Carrie albums in two different Targets to the front racks. Apologies to Zac Brown Band for them losing their spot on the shelves.

Surprised no one posted this (unless I completely missed it but no one's talking about it so I figured I'd post it) Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley to Host CMA Awards for Fifth Time by The Associated Press | August 02, 2012 5:26 EDT Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are hosting the Country Music Association Awards for a fifth time. Underwood started the online buzz about their return with a tweet Wednesday, saying she was hanging out with Paisley. She joked that she caught him in her makeup chair and added the hash tag #suchadiva. CMA confirmed the news on Twitter and Facebook shortly after with a picture of the two stars during a photo shoot. The CMA Awards will air live Thursday, Nov. 1, on ABC from Nashville. www.billboard.com/column/the-615/carrie-underwood-brad-paisley-to-host-cma-1007739552.story#/column/the-615/carrie-underwood-brad-paisley-to-host-cma-1007739552.story

From ChartWatch:
Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" leaps from #72 to #47 in its fifth week. :)
Looking forward to Blown Away's rise up the Billboard Hot 100 chart, especially after the Today's concert on Aug 15.
