BA (the single) is up to #13 all genre Whoa. I'm amazed at how steady it has been on iTunes latey. Do Carrie's songs usually stay this consistent in the top 20 all-genre? I can't wait to see where it goes when it reaches the top 10 on country radio, or even after her Today Show performance tomorrow. BA is doing great.

43dudleyvillas, just wanted to set straight that that never my intentions were, and I never said so. I just wanted to make, like I said, a comparison between the latest singles by the three biggest female artists. Nothing deep or some of the things you described. But I get some may see it as attacking other artists, so that sure won't happen again.
Ontopic: BA is doing awesome. I reckon it will go top 10 after tomorrow. I hope there's a link to watch live though, or that it will be uploaded on youtube.

I doubt that it'll be hitting #1 on Country now that Taylor's new single is out, but if BA holds out long enough, it could outlast Taylor's reign, which I can't imagine being anything less than a solid week or two, minimum.

Supposedly Carrie has some kind of surprise announcement tomorrow on VH1? What could it be? Something tour-related? Judge on Idol?

Anyone knows when CMA will announce the nominees for this year's awards??
Hopefully Carrie will get Female nod (and win because she's the most deserving this year), Single and Song (for GG but i don't expect it to win), Album (Miranda will likely win due to the trend), and Entertainer (hopefully win this too)

CMA nods don't usually come out for another couple of weeks, based on previous years' timing.
If I were to say Carrie had chances at awards this year, I think they'd be as follows:
Music Video -- doubtful to none since GG is the only eligible one. BA was released too late, so it can be nominated next year. Musical Event -- "Remind Me", and I wouldn't be shocked in the slightest to see it win. Note that it wasn't released in last year's time frame, so this is its year for submission. Song -- doubtful that GG gets in there. Single -- GG could slip in there. Wouldn't surprise me if it does. Album -- I'm definitely expecting a nomination here, and to be honest, a win wouldn't be that far of a stretch. Miranda's album has gotten critical praise, but the singles & their success have paled in comparison to her last era's, and that may look to the CMAs as a dropoff from her previous effort, while Carrie's album has gotten nearly-equivalent praise for the album, and she's sold more. Eric Church could be competition, too, though. I think those are the three strongholds this year. Female Vocalist -- definitely a lock, and her only competition will be Miranda. I actually don't know who it would go to because Carrie is definitely back in the game this year since RM is under this year's time belt, as is GG. It could go to either of them. Entertainer -- lol. If she couldn't get in for her stellar 2010 year, then I doubt she'll get in for this past year. Yeah, she's done a lot thus far, but she's only done a couple international tours that were about a month in total between England and Australia. Other than that, I wouldn't get any hopes up. Wait for next year when Carrie's got the whole US tour under her arms to carry into the competition. I'm expecting Blake Shelton or Kenny Chesney to win this year.

I don't think Taylor will stop Carrie from hitting #1. For all we know, Taylor could get her huge debut (I think she'll be ahead of Carrie on the next Billboard chart already) possibly in the 11-15 range, or maybe even top 10...but while her song is gonna sell by the bucket-load, it's gonna be very polarizing on country radio and could flame out very quickly. I don't think she's a surefire bet for #1 by any means. And if she does get past any callout issues and manages to have a shot at #1, I'd think it'd be before "Blown Away" and not really affect Carrie's chart run at all. BA is the 2nd single from Carrie's album and we've seen a more steady but solid rate of increase for it, as it builds country airplay. The sales are just great, too, so I look for it to continue to build and build, like a storm blowing in ;)

However, I appreciate that little tadbit about the whole situation. :)

I have pretty much given up on CMA love for Carrie. The only lock nomination for her is FVOTY... but I don't even know if she could win against Miranda, tbh. (yes, I'm that pessimistic, lol) As for EOTY, even next year would be tough. If they only give one slot to female nominee, then Taylor would most likely fill up that slot next year when she has an active tour/album year. A nomination for album would be a very pleasant surprise for me. I'm just gonna do what I did in the past few years - sit back and enjoy the awesome co-hosts, gorgeous wardrobe and the hilarious opening monologue. Anything else would be bonus.

She was great this morning! I thought that "Before He Cheats" performance was particularly good. She really has come to own that song live.

"Blown Away" has moved up to #12 on iTunes songs!
"Good Girl" has moved up 19 spots (pre-Today performance) to #108!
Blown Away (album) moved up 8 spots to #25... so far!

Can people tweet Carrie and ask her to sing "See You Again" live for VH1?

Can people tweet Carrie and ask her to sing "See You Again" live for VH1? Some people, myself included, tend to have more of an attraction to that song. It's really spiritual in theme and really evokes an emotion in me that I find inspiring. The same could be said about Temporary Home and to a lesser extent JTTW. But, yea, to hear Carrie sing that song in an unplugged setting would be special. But, to hear that song with the full band at a huge event would be more awe inspiring.

Would love for a "See You Again" performance. I hope it doesn't end up like "Unapologize" from Play On... I don't think we ever got a performance of that either. :(

Unplugged is usually only about 5 or 6 songs. For reference, Kelly Clarkson sang three songs from Stronger (the first three singles), a cover (Carrie's "I Know You Won't"), and her signature song, "Since U Been Gone." Not sure that Carrie will do a cover, but it is common for Unplugged.

Um, she looked insanely hot today... Terrific performances, too. Even though the crowd shots kinda ruined "Blown Away" for me. I get that the ppl there are excited for camera time and everything but it just doesn't look right paired w/ a song as intense as BA.

BA stays strong at #11 GG up to #103 !! Can anyone give the youtube link of today show performance? thank you and also, i take back my prediction about CMA nods for Carrie. She's hosting the award show again that means CMA will snub her AGAIN.

OMG what is her obsession with that song? I mean I guess it makes sense for this event, but Carrie. There are way better songs on your album. Come on, girl.
