Just got out of the taping. She did "Good Girl", "Before He Cheats", "Do You Think About Me", "Fix You" and "Blown Away".
Carrie also recognized me in the crowd and said hi to me. My life is complete.
I'll post a little more about it when I get home.

It'd be a great single following Blown Away. I love how it has storm references in it too!

What a great promotional opportunity wasted. Sure, the song is relevant. But's it's easily the most over-perfomed song on the album. She performs it everywhere, and it's almost unanimously agreed upon as the lowest point of the album. If only she could see this too. I like the song, it's cute... But not that cute.

In total agreement with the NETY talk here. I think it has a pretty high chance of being a single, too... unfortunately.

Nah, it doesn't. It reminds me of FOTF or SLT - performed a lot but never released. VH1 Unplugged is debuting in October, right? I think that will be the introduction for DYTAM, the perfect third single. Follow it up with TBC, then SYA/CGAS and close it out with GIG.

If "One Way Ticket" isn't released at some point, that'll be the death of me. I have NEVER felt so strongly about a song smashing. It needs to be released next Summer!

I like it also, but it'll have to be sqeezed between DYTAM, and TBC which I'm almost certain will be singles. Add OWT and you have 5 singles.

I believe the fact that DYTAM having been performed for Unplugged is a good indication that it will be her active single during the timing of the airing (Fall - October?). In my opinion, it is the perfect song to follow GG and BA in every way. DYTAM covers a different subject matter than any of Carrie's past singles and is also a different sound, very easy-listening, laid back, and acoustic. The chorus' melody is also instantly catchy ("oh I, oh oh I"). To top it all off, it's more traditional-leaning than either of her first two singles, to please those folks who may prefer that type of country music. I just think DYTAM is perfect for the next single and I think her label knows it too. NETY won't be a single, or Carrie wouldn't keep performing it early on in the album era. She seems to like performing the songs that won't get to see the light of day early on because she knows she will already be promoting the other singles later on. It's smart to me, even if I much rather her perform something other than NETY. Hopefully this is her last performance of it for a televised show and onto greener pastures. *** (My Speculation) Songs that definitely won't be singles based off her performances so far: "Nobody Ever Told You", "Cupid's Got A Shotgun" Songs that just won't be singles: "See You Again", "Thank God For Hometowns", "Who Are You" This leaves these as potential singles: "Two Black Cadillacs", "Forever Changed", "One Way Ticket", "Good In Goodbye", "Leave Love Alone", "Wine After Whiskey"

Has Carrie really performed Cupid's Got a Shotgun that much? I can't recall any TV performances other than the initial GMA performance on album release day. I don't know, I can't seem to fully rule it out yet as a possible single, especially with the added Brad Paisley factor. I'm absolutely positive that none of "Nobody Ever Told You," See You Again," "Thank God for Hometowns," "Forever Changed," or "Who Are You" will be singles.
I'm pretty sure "Two Black Cadillacs" will be a single, though probably not next. I have a good feeling about "Do You Think About Me" being next, followed by "Two Black Cadillacs," then "One Way Ticket" (depending on how timing goes, to make sure OWT is released during the summer). Carrie said during the CMA Songwriter Series that she really hopes TBC is a single eventually, and she told a fan recently at a meet and greet that OWT is in consideration to be a future single (though, who knows, she may have just been being nice, since that fan told her OWT was their fave). I'm hoping they go six singles deep, though that may be unlikely, and release "Wine After Whiskey" to close out the era. That song is too good to leave as just an album track and would raise Carrie's songwriting cred immensely with the more traditional crowd, I believe.

If it becomes a single and Carrie still refuses to sing it live, i WILL sing it for her anytime and anywhere Alright, let's hear it. lol Actually, I think Forever Changed is her best vocal on the album. The falsetto on the first and second chorus are perfect. Then she uses her regular voice on the third, I love it. But, no, she won't perform it live, it's too personal and emotional for her. I don't blame her, it's really an emotional song for all those that are experiencing that desease with loved ones. Having said that, it's emotional yes, but it's also a beautiful song.

Not sure what the next single will be but she seems to sing DYTAM, Cupid, NETY,and TBC pretty regularly. I don't think DYTAM is a slam dunk just yet to be the next single, I think it's in the running with Cupid and Leave Love Alone. I lean towards thinking that she might would like to release one of her co-writes next.

"Do You Think About Me" is my favorite from Blown Away, so I am all for it being the next single. "Do You" isn't the technical best song on the album or the most innovative, but it's the one I keep coming back to. I love her voice on it.

Yep, the lines on DYTAM where she sing, "oh I oh oh ay I" is spot on. I would never be able to stay in key trying to sing that. She does it with ease, and it's a great hook on the song.

I find "One Way Ticket" and "Cupid's Got a Shotgun" both to be gimmicky and hope they're not singles. Carrie's music usually hits some kind of emotional resonance and those are just songs about nothing meaningful. Granted, there's no shortage of people singing about gimmicks on country radio (see: all songs about various vehicles and beer), I'm just not a fan of Carrie going that direction. "Do You Think About Me," "Good in Goodbye," or "Wine after Whiskey" next please.

CGAS and OWT aren't on my list of songs I want to be singles to be honest.
They are both songs that I liked right when I heard the album but both quickly burned out on me, especially CGAS. If they want to release one of them I would rather it be OWT as I think it would do very well if released during the summer. However, I'm not sure how it would be met critically compared to what I expect to hear from her other singles this era (GG, BA, DYTAM, TBC, maybe WAW or GIG).
I say release GG, BA, DYTAM, TBC, WAW or GIG. Then a happy mid / up tempo happy song for the lead single from the 5th album.
If they do release OWT or CGAS (I don't see "CGAS" getting a release tbh) I think they should do it between TBC and WAW/GIG, which would make them go 6 deep. This would allow Carrie to both take time off after her expansive tour, promote each single, and then while the 6th single is at radio smashing, begin work on the next album / have a baby / both.
GG BA DYTAM TBC (OWT) GIG or WAW

Carrie sounded really good singing Nobody Ever Told You at the teachers rock concert! I also loved the conversation she had between her mom. I love both of those women! Interesting that Her mom was her teacher at one time.

Her performance was brilliant. i love how they showed Carrie and her mom. What a bright and genius family they are. For those who complain why she sang NOBODY EVER TOLD YOU, better think twice. It's the perfect song for the show There's no way she would sing BLOWN AWAY or TWO BLACK CADILLACS on the show

To me "NETY" seems to be the "Change" of this era. I seem to remember a blog/interview/post telling someone to not strive to be someone else(her), but the very best "you" you can be. Encouraging that person to believe in themselves. I don't expect it will be a single, but I guess it could be. My favorites for next single seem to be popular choices. DYTAM, WAW, or GIG would all be great in my opinion

^^ That was a 100% perfect vocal and great song for the event, although it's a skipper for me on the album.

The third single is really important. BA has helped album sales, so you want that trend to continue into the holiday season. I'm hoping for DYTAM but I fear that Carrie may not think its radio friendly enough. My gut tells me Cupid is next, and I think it would be a mistake. People will just compare that song to Miranda, and I don't think it will help album sales. TBC is my favorite song on the album, but I don't think she'd release BA and TBC back-to-back.
