Seeing Pink selling this much and still up so high after black friday is done shows how important it is to have one stellar performance at an award... hope Carrie gets a Grammy spot and kills it, full Blown Away production, even with a real hurricane, if necessary, haha!!

So Carrie will be featured on American Idol's audition, as per this video... There were some cameras on her face, so I'm sure she'll get airtime...

After Taylor Swift, Adele, and Lady Gaga, (and perhaps Beyonce), Carrie is probably the most consistent artist with respect to album sales from any genre and the most consistent straight up country artist. She should have no problem reaching 1.5 million copies sold before the end of 2013, IMO.

Just thought I'd let y'all know that I'm now officially a Carrie Underwood fan! Blown Away changed my opinion on her. Welcome! Did you mean the album or the song btw? If album, just curious... what are your fav songs from the album? :) I meant the album; it's awesome! My favorite song is "See You Again," and I desperately hope it gets released as a single. Also stellar are "Blown Away," "Two Black Cadillacs," "Good in Goodbye," "Wine After Whiskey," and, of course, "Do You Think About Me."

Carrie will be touring Ireland March 14-15: www.breakingnews.ie/entertainment/underwood-bringing-blown-away-tour-to-dublin-576125.html#.ULiYlXBrp7E.twitter"Carrie Underwood is coming to Dublin. Underwood will bring her 'Blown Away' tour to the Olympia Theatre on March 14 next year, before heading to Belfast's Waterfront Hall the following day. It is the first time the American Idol winner will perform in Ireland. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, December 7" Wonder if there will be more coming. There's a giant cap between dates on the second leg of the tour - the 6th through the 21st - so I have a feeling more shows will be planned throughout the UK.

Wow. I really don't like her voice on that style of singing, but I think it will be so different that it won't bring too many comparisons to Julie Andrews. It's a big swing, but I see it working out well for her.

So glad it was for The Sound of Music, wasn't really on board for the whole Dolly thing. It is going to be a long year waiting for this. I am so excited for this, thrilled. She has a lot of time to practice and she obviously has the voice, she should kill it.

This is just... she has a lot more guts than I have. So much can go wrong... yet I love that she's challenging herself like this. But man this will be picked apart if she has any mistakes. Looks like we won't get another album for a long time as I can't imagine her focusing on anything else next year.

Her tone just doesn't work for me singing this kind of classical music. But that was four years ago so who knows.

Thanks for finding Carrie's performance of Sound of Music. People are so interesting, here you show it to illustrate what is for you a 'tone' problem and deem not suitable as you say, for songs of this type... ..and I am referring to it to show the exact opposite.I thought and so did many, many others that it was great performance...despite the fact that she had a pretty big cold when she performed this. It appears that the Sound of Music production and Carrie will be under the guidance of some pretty heavy hitters from the broadway scene so I'm pretty confident that Carrie's acting chops (she hasn't disappointed in her previous acting roles as well as her Christmas special) will not disappoint and there's no question about her vocals. I don't think they're looking to produce a replica of the original, they are looking to put on a great show with fresh current faces from the industry...but... I'm sure comparisons will show up and those who maintain their preconceived notions of who and what Underwood is will undoubtedly have difficulty in seeing her in anything different or that deviates from that.

I liked her performance of the sound of music. Hope she kills it next year. I haven't seen much of her acting, but I was disappointed at her acting in the BA video
