This video was FANTASTIC. I hope this song is a massive hit for her - I think it's her deepest song she's released, one of her most hauntingly beautiful videos, gorgeous vocal on the song where she doesn't really show off her voice (and doesn't need to) and I'm SO happy she was a writer on the song because it shows how much she's grown as a writer.
Simply put, this song and video combined is probably my favorite since Before He Cheats.

I really love this video. More everytime I watch it. Anyone check their TV schedules to see if "Christine" was coming on anytime soon.............No, just me ;). By the way, it comes on at 1am central on AMC if anyone is interested. Set my dvr. Want to watch just to see if I can pick out moments that made the video.

I'm a bit late, but I love this video. The director really knew what he was doing. Plus strong acting from the supporting cast. I liked the BA video, but I felt they needed to go even further in that one. That song is so powerful, and I felt the video didn't go where it needed to to match the lyrics. For TBC, I feel the video totally gets the vibe of the song.

The ending should've included the tearing apart of the terrain, the tornado striking the home, and lots of stormy and windy sound effects to the audio. Instead, it was Carrie and Penny skipping through the fields in the midst of sunshine with a rainbow over a pasture of cows. Too anticlimactic.

Too anticlimactic. the ending was bad enough but what really bothered me was the girl trying to wake the father and get him to the shelter. For me that took all the 'sweet revenge' out of the song. They played it like it wasn't so much revenge as she just had to make a choice to save herself or die trying to save him. TBC video at #6 all genres on itunes

With ITYS now being Platinum, every single radio release from the CR era has gone Platinum -- the only era of Carrie's to ever do so.
I was confident that this era could do that, but seeing as TBC's sales are moving incredibly slow, I'm not all that sure that it'll hit Platinum.

I'm so surprised by how 2BC is selling. I thought it was an in the bag platinum single for sure and I really thought it would help the song Blown Away continue good album sales. I don't get it. It's a great song. Also how can the video be at number 1 on itunes and the song only at 41? That's weird to me. I guess a lot of people who already have the album are the ones buying the video.

I'm surprised this isn't selling better. I thought it'd at least go Platinum. I hope sales pick up and it still can. It's too good a song not to.

I'm surprised this isn't selling better. I thought it'd at least go Platinum. I hope sales pick up and it still can. It's too good a song not to. It doesn't have the same pop appeal as Blown Away and hasn't had the same amount of high profile tv performances. It's also the third single.

I don't really see how TBC has any less pop appeal than Blown Away, to be honest.

Maybe the people who hear TBC and love it now end up buying the album instead of just the track?
Would certainly help if Carrie gives a high-profile performance of TBC at the Grammys.

I don't think she'll be performing TBC at the Grammys. I'm thinking it'll be BA since that's what she's nominated for, but maybe we'll be lucky and she'll manage to do a mashup of some sorts.

Add me to the list of folks that's surprising TBC isn't selling better. This is one of Carrie's best singles and videos to-date, and it deserves to do well. Hopefully it'll pick up soon once the video has been out for awhile. I'm assuming she'll perform BA at the Grammy's, but a mashup performance would be awesome.

TBC actually isn't selling that bad. Carrie's last three singles have all been huge sellers, crossing 1.5 million each (Remind Me, Good Girl, and Blown Away). TBC is definitely selling way better than Mama's Song. It's selling pretty comparably to Undo It, which has sold more than 1.2 million. It's selling better than Temporary Home. Cowboy Casanova was a lead single, so it's hard to compare, but that one's a pretty monster seller and should be 2x platinum soon. It's selling about the same (if not better) as Just a Dream, which is platinum. The same (if not better) as Last Name, which is platinum. Same with All-American Girl. Etc etc. So, while it's not looking to be a huge monster seller like BA was, it does look like it's on par to eventually be another platinum single. The video release will hopefully help push sales, plus a few more high-profile performances would help. The song also just hit the top 10 on mediabase, so the further it goes up the radio charts the further that will help push sales. I'm not too concerned with its sales. For reference purposes, here's the latest PDF from Cary over at CarrieFans, where he compiles Carrie's chart and digital selling history: cary78663.home.comcast.net/PDFFiles/CUChartHistory011713.pdf

With tomorrow's Idol episode basically being all about Carrie since it's centered in Oklahoma City, I'm curious to see how great of a bump she'll get in sales next week. Looks like CC and BA will easily become her next two multi-platinum singles. Not sure which one will get there first, but both will definitely get there within the next couple of months.

Looks like Before He Cheats is getting an official single release in the UK.
Edit: The image seems to have been removed, but it was a picture of a promo CD cover for the single.

Looks like Before He Cheats is getting an official single release in the UK. I know the UK likes holding back releases, but six years is a bit much...

This eBay listing shows it. Whaaat? o____O EDIT: Here's one for which bidding hasn't ended if any of you are looking to grab it. EDIT (again): Adam (UTR) just explained to me via Twitter that the reason it's just now being released there is because Blown Away was her first album to be released in the UK; "Cowboy Casanova," "Before He Cheats," "Last Name," and "Jesus, Take The Wheel" were added as bonus tracks there.

Sooo...one of those cowrites Carrie had with Ne-Yo (as well as Luke Laird) made the cut for "Smash" star Megan Hilty's debut album, It Happens All the Time. The song is called "Walk Away". Source

Just a reminder that Carrie is playing the Opry tonight. She'll be on sometime between 8:45-9:15pm central time. You can stream the audio here. ETA: Opry setlist - 1)Undo It 2) I Told You So 3) Jesus Take the Wheel 4) Two Black Cadillacs (One song from each album.)
