Nice to see decent sales for the Top 10, compared to the last couple weeks anyway

^Album sales often see a gain when tracks from the album receive airplay. :)

Adele's sales are disgusting...
Defying every prediction ever made about her or album sales in general. Before "21" was released, I guarantee no one ever thought an album would sell past 6,000,000 again in the United States. If they did, I'm sure Adele wasn't who was in mind when saying so. She has done that, and has eyes on a distant Diamond goal. Just incredible... I really can't believe it. She is so deserving of it though!

Well at least Seal got a Top 10... even if those numbers are abysmal. Yea, I expected at least 40-45k.

By the time the Grammy boost runs its course, she'll be past the 7 million mark and I can definitely see her closing in on 10 million by the end of the year.

Adele may hit 10m in 2013 but almost definitely not in 2012.
It's not impossible -- nothing is with her, it seems.
I think it's much more likely she ends up in the 8-9m range by the end of 2012 and challenges for the #1 seller of the year.

OK, maybe I was overdoing it. But I certainly think 21 will have sold 10m in the US within the next two years.

Nothing is impossible.
Albums have repeated as #1 for the year before
Adele could reign again in 2012 or something newer and fresher could come along to take its place

Adele is probably reaching an audience that otherwise ignores current popular music - which is the vast majority of people. The most popular song of the digital era, for example, has been purchased by only about 2.5% of the country. It seems like domination to our eyes, but when you consider that some albums out there have sold 30 million copies, it becomes clear that Adele still has plenty of room left to build more sales. you're not taking into consideration all the people who steal music. guarantee Adele's 21 would be in the $10-15 million range by now if it wasn't for piracy

'21' will be Diamond by the end of the year, no question. I'm surprised people still doubt this album - it has a habit of making 'sensible' predictions look insanely conservative, lol. This album will be at well over 7 million shipped by the end of February, then it's got 10 months to get the rest. She can also promo now whereas in 2011 it was a real struggle.
