Sorry to make a new thread, but I'm not quite sure where I can post this to get a response. Anyway, is there any place where I can go to get a full list of banned words? Obviously they don't need to be spelled out (you can say "the F word and I'll understand) , but I'm just paranoid that I'll use something wrong. For example, can I use "Hell" or do I have to use "heck?" Also, I saw that the past tense form of "press" is banned, and I don't know if there are any else like it. Additionally, does putting a star like this * in place of letters in some words make their usage okay? I checked the "Rules and Guidelines" thread, and it wasn't there, so could someone please PM me them? Sorry it's such a long post, but i don't want to do something wrong! :)

Any "banned" words are already censored, so you don't have to worry about it.

In general, there's nothing counterintuitive. For example, "the f word" is censored, but if you just type it normally and don't do anything to evade the censor, that's not a problem. Don't use any racial / sexual / gender-related / etc. slurs.
The past tense of press was, at one point, a word that was being abused for trollish purposes. Occasionally, the censor gets put in place to make a point that we discourage that kind of thing, and, admittedly, can stay on past the time its point has been made.
Basically, don't worry too much about banned words. Just don't say anything you would feel uncomfortable having a 13-year old or a 93-year-old read, use a bit of common sense, and you'll be fine.

Because us Britney stans used it too much. The same reason Beyoncé fans got the ":'(" smiley banned last year.
We've moved onto various other -neys however, to evade the censor.
