After seeing it rise again this week like the undead hellspawn it is, I have to wonder just how high PRA's airplay is after all this time. It finished one spot ahead of Gavin DeGraw, who was listed in the top 20 for airplay with about a 63 and sold only about 15,000 or so less than LMFAO. Even if you factor in the additional versions, it still seems like it would have to be getting airplay in the 40 to 45 range, which seems awfully high for a song that peaked back in the summer. Is there something else I'm missing? Would streaming be enough to keep it that high?

I wouldn't say quality has nothing to do with it, br, but a "better song" from Madonna still would not have been an uber-smash at radio. Maybe it would have done a tad better in airplay- but "Hung Up" is the case in point of a "better song"- and one that sold well- still not getting a lot of airplay love. Was "4 Minutes" a better song than "Hung Up"? Most probably would not think so. But it had Timberlake and fit in more with radio trends- hence, its strong showing.
suth- "Party Rock Anthem" climbed 26-24 on Hot 100 Airplay this week; "Not Over You" is ranked No. 15.

With Someone Like You, We Found Love, Sexy and I Know It, Set Fire to the Rain, Stronger, and We are Young, this makes 23 weeks in a row that I've actually liked the number-one song. The last streak like this was the 29 weeks that gave us Hollaback Girl, We Belong Together, Inside Your Heaven, and Gold Digger in 2005.

That doesn't change the streak, though.
