Someone needs to throw a bag of cheetos @ Adele just to distract her. ...or to give her something to snack on as she effortlessy rules the music world.

Crazy to see 21 on top a year ago, and, possibly, on top again a year later. Selling twice as much.

That update must be "brick and mortar" retailers, no?

That update must be "brick and mortar" retailers, no? The WH sales are a giveaway. It's really too bad that the 3-pack stock was out there because it would've been nice for MLIYL to have hit the Top 10.

We will never know if MLIYL would have reached the top 10 or not, but 8.99 for three albums (at Amazon.com) is some darn excellent pricing.

How do we think The Hunger Games soundtrack will perform? The movie opens this Friday. I guess the soundtrack will do decently, but not on the level of the movie itself (kinda like Twilight). I'm going to go on a limb and say it'll do well. Soundtracks haven't done well other than Glee in years. Does anyone have a list of movie soundtracks or scores to sell more than 500k in the last ten years? Anyway, I feel like some effort has gone into it with the original track listing with some pretty big names by acts that typically sell well. Whether those fans will buy it is a question but I think the potential is there as is the right formula. Here ya go: 15 12 13 BURLESQUE SOUNDTRACK 2403 -11 2690 565245 21 26 30 TWILIGHT SOUNDTRACK 1402 -15 1655 2727264 37 42 52 NEW MOON (TWILIGHT) SOUNDTRACK 713 -21 904 1273248 73 60 63 BLUE COLLAR COMEDY TOUR SOUNDTRACK 575 -5 603 711210 68 62 67 MAMMA MIA SOUNDTRACK 534 -10 591 1949577 79 82 93 ACROSS THE UNIVERSE (DLX) SOUNDTRACK 384 -11 430 792957 97 95 87 JOHNSON*JACK & FRIENDS CURIOUS GEORGE:SINGALONGS/LULL 392 5 373 1426248 86 HANNAH MONTANA HANNAH MOVIE SNDTRK 395 25 315 2064407 Those are the latest that I can find that are still on the Top Soundtrack Chart. Those that aren't on the chart would include: Juno Soundtrack High School Musical 3: Senior Year Eclipse (Twilight Saga) Soundtrack 8 Mile Soundtrack Garden State Soundtrack Walk the Line Soundtrack That's all I can think of from the top of my head. I excluded TV soundtracks.

Yay for 1D 21k difference should be enough to guarentee #1 on SS. Afterall, Bruce still beat Adele with 10k difference on HITS.

I think Hunger Games will be #1 next week. I'm not sure Adele will return to #1 until maybe the April 10th release week or 24th. And then there's Mother's Day. "Rumour Has It" taking off will help as well in April/May, I think.

Adele will be #1 for at least 1 week by the end of may without a doubt.
I think she also might not leave the top 10 for most of the rest of the year sans a few weeks maybe.

Adele will most likely leave the top 10 by September, I think (my inductive prediction).

anyone know if there's any more 25 cent albums right now? Or is that promotion over?

anyone know if there's any more 25 cent albums right now? Or is that promotion over? That's done. Most of Google Play's sales now are groups of albums for $3.99, such as their current Spring Break Classics sale. (Don't ask me how albums that haven't ever been out during a Spring Break can be considered "classics," though.)

Haha, I know--I just think it's funny that they use a term like "classics" for new albums. Something like "anthems" would be more accurate, but that's just me being picky.
