Interesting thing is that songs like Every Time I Close My Eyes, Un-Break My Heart, For You I Will, and I Believe I Can Fly could arguably be seen as more standard AC fare than R&B. They just got the r&b label b/c of the artists singing them. JMO, of course, and certainly not meant to take away from R&B's popularity then (an act like Dru Hill could not even dream of sniffing the top 10 today).
