^Indeed. Note that Katy Perry's Confection release is missing from the projections. And I guess I'm the only one who's noticed that the music from The Hunger Games must not be resonating that hugely with the massive number of movie attendees, post the first week.

There are posts about Adele and Lionel Richie, if you want to talk about them, you can address those people. If no one talked about Rascal Flatts is because no one here cares. The usual diva war on Pulse is more funny than annoying to me (mostly because I couldn't care less about who's winning or losing at any given moment, although I kinda root for Adele to never leave the top 5 )

Nothing wrong with trying to chanege the thread topic If not Nicki Minaj to discuss, how about Adele? Lionel Richie? Rascal Flatts? Others? Lots to choose from There are posts about Adele and Lionel Richie, if you want to talk about them, you can address those people. If no one talked about Rascal Flatts is because no one here cares. Inciting diva wars is annoying I am all for music discussion though These people are discussing music, sales and charts. It just so happens it's for the same artist for pages and pages. You know it's the same thing every time -- you've been here longer than me. And, truth be told, her huge 2nd week drop is a bigger chart story than anything else.

As much as I love Adele, I am kinda tired of her, not sure why.
But good for her, I mean she is showing everyone how its done. I hope this is not a one time thing for her. I hope her next album delivers.

Apparently my point has been made. However, if you want to carry on with the Madonna topic, be my guest

That way it won't get lost amidst the pages and pages of bickering over Madonna.

Oh look! After Adele claims her customary spot in the top 3 We have Nicki Minaj a clear #1 and Rascal Flatts & Lionel Richie vying for the final spot in the top 3 Sheesh! How many weeks has Adele sold over 100,000 copies?? This has to be close to the record!

Wilson Phillips isn't on the projections. Maybe a top 40 debut for Dedicated? ladies need to get the album of all-new material out there- enough with the covers.

Woohoo Kelly!!! And ADELE!!!!!!! AND ONE DIRECTION!!! :'( OMG can't wait for Madonna's album to fall off the chart(looks like might be a couple of weeks from now) so all this petty bickering can stop between her trolls. It's like Madonna is #1 SHE SOLD BLAH BLAH BLAH SHE IS THE QUEEN OMG NO ONE CAN TOP HER for 19 f**king pages back and fourth, now it's all, well this was expected, no one sells that much anymore, she doesn't do promo, she doesn't have a single.. probably for another 14 f**king pages. Ahh it's so aggravating and makes me wanna go buy a copy just so I can break it into little pieces but then I might add an increase to her album sales and have to hear SHE SOLD BLAH BLAH BLAH SHE IS THE QUEEN OMG NO ONE CAN TOP HER for 14 f**king more pages....it's like the era is looking to be a flop accept it and move on. She's still Madonna and no matter how many pages of ranting her fans have on Pulse isn't gonna change anything. I'm sure she doesn't need ya'll sympathy.

Yes, I was wondering too why Katy Perry's projections are missing.

I know, Safa- and on the TV Guide Network. Like, who's going to see that? I like the ladies, but first they had that California album of covers, then the Christmas album and now this latest covers album. They're supposedly working on an album of all-new material, though. One of my guilty pleasure acts, most definitely. :)

*Not surprised by Madonna *Sad that Nicki isn't trending up. Please abandon that pop stuff. *Gotye on the rise. Weird if I think SITIUTK is going to be a bigger hit than WAY? *ADELE. Jesus. *Really strong for OneDirection and Lionel. Between them, Gotye, fun., Adele, Whitney and upcoming releases from Norah and others, 2k12 is strong.

No. It's annoying to read your endless posts about topics we already know. They add nothing to the conversation. You do not need to deflect. You do not need to change the subject.

I know thriller was moving a s**t load between 82 till mid 84 There may exist other albums that spent more weeks over 100k -- Thriller would be a good contender indeed -- but we only have verifiable sales from SoundScan starting in 1991. I should have made that observation.

There doesn't look to be any 100K+ openings coming next week. If HITS' release schedule is accurate, there's Bonnie Raitt, Monica and a Florence and the machine unplugged release.

You know, if I am such a crazy STAN as you all love to call each other here, then I am not sure why you even entertain my posts in the first place. If everything I say is so unreasonable then why do you like to throw it in my face when I am wrong about something? If you're all about the STATS and the figures then glow on, ignore my crazy ass, but HERE WE ARE again. I think you enjoy this just as much as the rest of the MORTALS on this board. Awww Hollyweird, don't be so hurt. It really isn't that deep. Madonna will live. I know the MDNA era looks like it will be fleeting but I hope you stay on after it falls off the charts in a few weeks. There are many other artists with new albums coming this year so conversation will be ripe for discussion. I wasn't hurt. I was just saying - if you're so above the stanning and the drama and you're all about the numbers, then I shouldn't even be on your radar. I mean the first thing you said to me when I introduced myself was "Oh you're THAT GUY." Maybe it's best if you just don't pay attention to me.

Lionel's "Tuskegee" CD is also still # 1 on Amazon.
EDITED to add: Universal Music scores its third #1 in a row as Nicki Minaj's projection increases a little today. Here's how it looks headed into the Easter weekend: *Nicki Minaj (Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Republic) 215-235k Adele 21 (XL/Columbia) 155-165k *Rascal Flatts (Big Machine) 110-120k Lionel Richie (Mercury Nashville) 100-110kOne Direction (Syco/Columbia) 70-80k The Hunger Games soundtrack (Universal Republic) 45-50k *Marvin Sapp (Verity) 45-50k *Of Monsters & Men (Universal Republic) 45-50k Madonna (Interscope) 40-45kShinedown (Atlantic) 35-40k Kelly Clarkson (19/RCA) 27-30k Now 41 (Capitol/EMI) 27-30k Luke Bryan (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 24-27k Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance (Hollywood) 24-27k Gotye (Fairfax/Universal Republic) 24-27k Adele 19 (XL/Columbia) 22-25k *Alabama Shakes (ATO) 21-24k Bruce Springsteen (Columbia) 21-24k Whitney Houston Greatest Hits (RCA) 21-24k *Debuts (4/5p) There you go. From a 358,000+ opening week to a predicted 40k - 45k in the 2nd week. No one can possibly tell me that the giveaway "promotion" didn't inflate Madonna's sales. This is one of the many reasons why I would not want Shania Twain to do that. It's a gimmicky way to boost your sales for a short while. It's better to have an album with longevity than an album that grabs a few quick headlines declaring it a "# 1 hit album." Agreed. If Madonna's second week sales were higher than expected I'm not sure if some people here would want to change the subject so quickly lol but anyway.
