No.2 is a flop for this era. Then what's a #3?? A buzz single.

Wide Awake's Digital Sales for the past few weeks:
7/7 221,000, up 12% 7/14 no data (very skimpy on data that week) can deduct from the next week, being up 2%, that it's approximately 206,000, down 7% 7/21 210,000; up 2% 7/28 205,000, down 2% 8/4 170,000, down 17% 8/11 151,000, down 11% 8/18 130,000; down 13% 8/25 136,000 up 5%
So based on the previous weeks, a 10-15% drop would be pretty likely, giving it sales of 110,000-117,000. So the discount got it 20,000-25,000 additional sales.

Discount confirmed for as pointless as I thought it was. Still great run for this song that surpassed the expectations of the majority. Great end to the era. It's all nothing but falling from cloud nine from here.

I'm glad she released this song. In the end I think people will remember it more than Part Of Me, even if that one went #1.

I'm glad she released this song. In the end I think people will remember it more than Part Of Me, even if that one went #1. "Part Of Me" went #1 on the Hot 100 based on first week sales due to being a brand new song. It only made #3 on CHR/Pop and #4 on Radio Songs. "Wide Awake" has had much better longevity so far and has made #1 on CHR/Pop and #2 on Radio Songs. It's definitely the bigger hit. U.S. success-wise, I'd rank the Teenage Dream singles as follows; 01. "Firework" 02. "E.T." 03. "California Gurls" 04. "Teenage Dream" 05. "Last Friday Night" 06. "Wide Awake" 07. "The One That Got Away" 08. "Part Of Me"

^Exactly. Honestly, Hot 100 peaks aren't important.

I might move WA 1 or 2 spaces up. It depends on longevity to get a concrete list, but it's different than a lot of those songs so could have really good recurrency.

Lol @ E.T. being a bigger hit than California Gurls!!! I was iffy about which way to put those two. "E.T." was a bigger hit at time of charting, but I think "California Gurls" will be better remembered. I'm not sure.

People have already forgotten about it, while California Gurls will at least be a summer staple for a few years and I feel it will get more recurrent play.

There is a chance Katy could return to #1 on pop radio this Sunday; only 120 spins separate her from Ellie, and Ellie lost a LOT more spins today than Katy did. If today's update trends over the weekend, Ellie will slip below Katy and WA will get a second run at #1! :O

Not only would I rank ET over Cali Gurls, but it could even be argued that it was the biggest hit of the album. And the fact that it was the 4th single...

E.T. was definately bigger than California Gurls. It was a bigger hit at the time, it is still selling more than California Gurls, and it has better recurrent play. Cali Gurls was big, but E.T. is definately bigger. The only reason I wouldn't rank it above Firework is that has become a massive recurrent seller. People remember that song more than any Katy single. I agree completely with Slizzard's list. At the time of their chart runs, I would rank the singles like this: 1. E.T. 2. California Gurls 3. Firework 4. Teenage Dream 5. Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) 6. Wide Awake 7. The One That Got Away 8. Part of Me

Why would Wide Awake rank above Last Friday Night? It's selling less, barely made #1 on pop, and didn't reach #1 on H100 Airplay, while Last Friday Night spent what, 6-8 weeks?

I think "Wide Awake" will outsell "Last Friday Night" in the long run, at that point I'd consider it a bigger hit. LFN would've been a #2 peaker like WA if it weren't for the remix anyhow. And let's be honest here, "Call Me Maybe" was much bigger competition than "Party Rock Anthem".
WA already out peaked it on AC, sitting at #10 currently.

I do not believe Call Me Maybe has proven to be bigger than Party Rock Anthem. It might end up that way, but right now I'd say PRA is still clearly the bigger hit with its massive run.

The following is the most recent sales information for the TD singles. Good information to take into account for your rankings. California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg) - 5 million+ Teenage Dream - 4 million+ Firework - 5.7 million+ E.T. (feat. Kanye West) - 5.2 million+ Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) - 3 million+ The One That Got Away - 2 million+ Part of Me - 2.3 million Wide Awake - 2 million+ Almost 30 million sales in singles from one era.

Decided I agree that "California Gurls" should be above "E.T.". 01. "Firework" 02. "California Gurls" 03. "E.T." 04. "Teenage Dream" 05. "Last Friday Night" 06. "Wide Awake" 07. "The One That Got Away" 08. "Part Of Me" Also, for the rest of the world, I'd say: 01. "Firework" 02. "California Gurls" 03. "Teenage Dream" 04. "Last Friday Night" 05. "E.T." 06. "Wide Awake" 07. "Part Of Me" 08. "The One That Got Away"
