I remember the other day people were debating the correct ranking of the performance of the TD singles and thought it would be useful to see this rank of their cumulative weeks inside the top 10 of different charts:
Number of weeks in the top 10:
Hot 100 20 - E.T. 18 - Firework 17 - California Gurls 14 - Teenage Dream 12 - Last Friday Night 11 - The One That Got Away 11 - Wide Awake (still top 10) 9 - Part of Me
US Radio Songs 18 - E.T. 17 - California Gurls 17 - Firework 14 - Last Friday Night 14 - Teenage Dream 13 - The One That Got Away 9 - Part of Me 9 - Wide Awake (still top 10)
US Digital Songs 16 - E.T. 16 - Firework 14 - California Gurls 11 - Teenage Dream 10 - Last Friday Night 10 - Wide Awake 8 - Part of Me 8 - The One That Got Away

One decent measurment is the year end numbers. We know Firework performed better than E.T. because it is ranked #3 in 2011 with E.T. at #4, even with some of Firework's chart run in the 2010 chart year. California Gurls was also at #4 for its year, but its hard to compare across years.

The best way to compare across years will be in the 2019 decade-end chart where the first 4 singles will be sure to chart. Hopefully there'll be another 5-6 songs to add to that tally by then ;)

Yeah, in order to get 25 entries on the decade end chart, you'd need 5 Teenage Dream eras in a row.

I'm fairly sure SPREE was joking. He said she'd have 25 songs in the top 10 at the same time, so...

yea, i misunderstood. I thought he meant she'd only have released another 5-6 songs in the next 7 years. That's why i said 25. I wasn't thinking all of them charting on the year-end chart.
yea, 5-6 more sounds right, lol.

Still, the hypothetical 5-6 more singles in the decade end chart is still about 1/10 of the chart, which would be pretty amazing.

Funny how they were basically even all week until today. They sure wanted it to be a nail biter. Very close to #2 on HAC as well. Appears her last week at #1 on both formats, but she definitely had great runs on both.

She still has time to hit #1 on Radio Songs, too.

I don't think it will happen. It's definitely possible, but this:
1. KATY PERRY - Wide Awake: 163.973 (- 0.817) 2. ELLIE GOULDING - Lights: 162.138 (+ 0.068)
Led to a 4 million difference in favor of Ellie. The gap now is
1. ELLIE GOULDING - Lights: 159.350 (- 1.026) 2. KATY PERRY - Wide Awake: 155.877 (- 0.596)
Ellie lost faster today (were about even the two prior days) and the next songs gaining are a ways away, but with how much Ellie led on BDS while behind on Mediabase, I could see her comfortably being #1 the rest of the way. It really just depends how the two fall the next couple weeks.

When was the last time a #1 was this low? Even I Wanna Go had around 12,900 iirc.

I'm not sure exactly, but F**kin' Perfect and F**k You both hit #1, and peaked with 12,140 and 11,962 spins respectively.

I've been hearing this a lot more NOW than I was before. And I'm not complaining, it still sounds just as fresh.
