Well, we could update the top two figures, as Billboard had an article on Tuskegee climbing to No. 2 for the year thus far. ;)

Which although an album released in 2012 is essentially a hits album full of songs at least 25 years old.
New material in 2012 is essentially lacking any staying poewer so far

Yep, this looks to be the lowest weekly sales yet for 21. By my count, 21 has had, counting the 6/9 chart: * One week in the 50,000-60,000 range * One week in the 60,000-79,000 range * Six weeks in the 70,000-80,000 range * Six weeks in the 80,000-90,000 range * Seven weeks in the 90,000-100,000 range So, that's 21 weeks- leaving 45 weeks of sales topping 100,000.

49 32 KELLY CLARKSON 19/RCA 11,321 +45% STRONGER I was hoping for more, but I'm still happy. She's at 806k now :) yep, 'some' kind of boost was expected as (like shes been doing this entire era- *promoting* non stop/ been constantly visible) which mixed in with a smash song maintains weekly stable #s but w/ Duets doing meh at best, getting little buzz and WDKY starting to rapidly simmer down, and no new noteworthy performances (for now), Dark Side REALLY needs to start gaining some traction and hype to maintain even in or around what shes been sellling for many months now. Its obvious shell easily outsell My December and most likely AIEW (as shes ahead of where both those albums where at the same point) and is barely into her 3rd single with MUCH more life left to this album vs. AIEW, to get to that magic 1 mill. mark (which I think is coming). I'd love to see it happen sooner ( but feel it will only if DS hits reasonably hard) than later. 10kish weekly #s would do the trick vs. 3-5k for endless months if DS does so-so. Obviously between now and Nov./Dec (6 mths) she'll close the gap, then the holidays will prob. take her over the 1 mill. line.

oh, and (as expected) OUCH at Adams drop. Next weeks # will prob. be even more dreadful 70% drop without any radio presence is pretty good actually. I expected worse. Jason Mraz and Train both have much bigger hits and dropped at 71% and 65%.

Some people here still do not understand 2nd week drops. -70% is the new norm. When you're opening with 77k, that's a pretty big drop regardless. 70% drops from 250k+ sellers is much more norm.

This is truly pitiful, up until 2 or 3 weeks ago i thought he'd sell twice as much.
What are the chances he's not getting David Cook's treatment before the year is over?

^ Tenacious D had a 68% drop this week from a 44K opening. Had to take you off my ignore list to read that. That's awful too. He's not a pop act though, so that's not something we'd latch on to.

Is Kris Allen's career mirroring McPhee's?
Debut album, single and sophomore album look very similar.
