Next week is interesting... Maybe three or four new entries in top 5.

The expected #1s for the next 8 weeks: June 12, 2012 Usher - Looking 4 Myself June 19, 2012 Justin Bieber - Believe June 26, 2012 Maroon 5 - Overexposed or Linkin Park - Living Things July 3, 2012 Chris Brown - Fortune July 10, 2012 Zac Brown - Uncaged July 17, 2012 Nas - Life Is Good July 24, 2012 Up for grabs July 31, 2012 Rick Ross - God Forgives, I Don’t I don't think Maroon 5 will get the #1 that easily. I think Justin's 2nd week sales might block the group.

^Oh, yeah. I had forgotten that Maroon 5's last album debuted at #2 with 141k.
They should sell 200k this time, which will not challenge the Biebs.

They've had 2 successful singles in a row this time around which has raised interest on them. Right now they are the wildcard.

John Mayer has one weird chart trajectory. If this holds, it'd be 1-1-10. Is that the steepest drop for a multi-week #1? (outside of Christmas albums) You reference Michael Buble - Christmas who has the overall record for biggest drop from #1 after spending more than one week at the top, next up is Magic by Bruce Springsteen that fell from 1 to 12 in 2007 after a 2nd week at #1. Thanks 2m! Looking at Magic, even weirder is it went 1-2-1-12. The week it fell 1-12, 7 albums debuted above it.

Hits has Adele as the winner by a very, very slim margin. SoundScan numbers could reverse this..

Adele normally ends up higher on soundscan by a few thousand copies. So I think it might be tipped in Adele's favour at the moment. But it'll be really close!

Adele getting that coveted 24th week at #1 is certainly proving to be much more of a challenge than I ever anticipated.

^Oh, yeah. I had forgotten that Maroon 5's last album debuted at #2 with 141k. They should sell 200k this time, which will not challenge the Biebs. I see Linkin Park more of a challenge for Bieber. I see them doing 300k-330k range. They have a strong fanbase.

If the Beach Boys hit the higher-than-expected #3 in Soundscan - which seems a certainty - they'll have their highest charting album since "Endless Summer" hit #1 in 1974, their highest charting studio album since "Summer Days (And Summer Nights)" hit #2 in 1965, and their fifth-highest charting album ever (after the two noted, plus 1963's #2 "Surfin' USA" and 1964's #1 "Beach Boys Concert"). Interestingly, they've never hit #1 with a studio album.

But, they are supposedly doing the album/concert ticket redemption which my drive their sales higher than 241k.

But yes, I still think LP will be a much tougher challenge.

I think their latest single has been received better than last era. I say they are certainly safe for 200k+ with a pretty decent shot to hit 300k.
