With summer releases coming in, the "slowness" problem should fade away What high profile releases do we know of this summer?

Hmm.. most of those artists either have already had singles from their albums out or aren't artists likely to get much mainstream airplay anyway. It seems like there aren't many high profile lead singles on their way in the next couple of months.

CMM and Payphone will more than likely slow/begin to peak within the next week or so. Both are gaining nicely on Rhythmic, but I dont think they will go much further than Top 20 there.

Yep. Definitely or Gaga or someone else who's popular needing an in. Record companies think they are just going to save all of their big artists for November but people get crowded out. It's better if there is balanced release schedules for the artist and record company.

9. RIHANNA - Where Have You Been: 92.433 (+ 1.771) 13. USHER - Scream: 79.279 (+ 0.660)
Wow I thought these were still on equal grounds. I guess the gap is only going to get wider from here, "Scream" doesn't really scream monster hit like "Omg" or even "DJ Got Us..".
sn: CHERYL COLE - Call My Name: 0
Was this necessary?

That gurl needs to sit DOWN. Lol If you are referring to Katy, she will have the fall, winter, and part of the spring off... Would love for another summer smash to come out in May 2013.

I don't know if "Call My Name" can smash in America.....the production fits in with what's on radio, but it seems a lot more British than other EDM songs on the charts, and getting used to the chorus can take a while.

It's amazing that this is the 5th year in a row that Katy has had a HUGE summer hit!! 2008 (I Kissed A Girl) 2009 (Waking up in Vegas) 2010 (California Girls) 2011 (Last Friday Night) 2012 (Wide Awake) Wouldn't really call WUIV "huge" but I guess it fits in.

Nobody remembers it, including me (but I'm European so that might make a difference), so it's definitely not I Kissed a Girl and California Gurls size of a hit. And if WUIV was huge then what were those two.

Ellie Goulding has been on the chart for 24 weeks with "Lights" already. If it goes top ten, that will be quite a climb. What's the last song to take longer to hit top ten?
