Correct me if I'm wrong, but is CMM the first Canadian tune to hit #1 since "Girlfriend"? I believe so. Unless you want to count Drake's featuring on "What's My Name?" Nah. He might be the last Canadian artist, but that wasn't the last Canadian song to reach #1. (Question: would you count that as American or Barbadian? )

Now that "Glad You Came" is out of the top ten, there are seven songs remaining that have been there for 11 weeks or more.
"We Are Young" is the longest top ten sitter, with 18 weeks and counting, the most since SAIKI had 21.

Yay for Carly.
Dr. Luke gets his 9th smash hit with Katy, she getting a non-Luke hit per album. It's interesting, given how huge Dr. Luke is, how big a proportion of his #1s are with her. She looks to be in good position to be #1 again.

Retro Top 10's for this week - my 5th, 10th, 15th and 19th birthdays too. Carly being #1 this week would be a nice 20th birthday present Billboard gave you your birthday cake this year ;)

#115- Here's My Number So - Call Me Maybe #123- Tonight - We Are Young
I bet these "artists" don't even care that they're on a Billboard chart >:(

"Chasing the Sun" should be doing better but I don't think it will make the top 40 let alone match "Glad You Came" by going top ten.
"One Thing" is doing OK but I actually prefer it to the previous single.

Who buys those generic covers of tracks like "Call Me Maybe" and "We Are Young"?

^ If you think this is surprising, there's currently a cover of "Payphone" at #3 on UK iTunes because the original isn't yet available in the country.

^ If you think this is surprising, there's currently a cover of "Payphone" at #3 on UK iTunes because the original isn't yet available in the country. That's at least understandable... people resorting to buy a cheap karaoke cover because it's the only version of that song on iTunes (whether they're aware it's the Maroon 5 version or not) However, I DON'T get how the "Call Me Maybe" cover is being bought enough to make the top 100 of iTunes when the original/real version is #1 on the iTunes chart and one of the most visible things on the front page of the iTunes Store. They have to REALLY make the effort to seek out the version that isn't currently #1. Easy lesson here: SAMPLE before you buy

06 05 17 Nicki Minaj, Starships 07 07 23 Flo Rida Featuring Sia, Wild Ones
These have to be the best performing #5 peakers I can think of recently.

Their run reminds me of Fergie's Clumsy
Looks like LMFAO's two songs will go recurrent at the same time just like Rolling in the Deep & Someone Like You
