As if that green liquid was natural puke. She probably just didn't swallow after she drunk it and put her fingers in her throat to make it seem real. I'm sure it even smelled good. I am pretty sure it was real puking-you can see how body reacts that that isn't just spitting. I believe that performance artist has done "artistic" vomiting other times as well. They obviously played with the color though in post-production. It probably did smell good though. Don't ask me how I know, but if you puke something RIGHT after you eat it or drink it then it doesn't smell or taste or even look like puke. So if you ate ice cream and immediate puked it it would still be cold and smell/taste like ice cream. You have to wait at least a few minutes for the "gross puke" warmness and smell to kick in. I would assume most "performance pukers" do just that-drink something cold and pleasant and then immediately vomit it like you saw onstage. This is the longest conversation I have ever had about puke before lol.

I don't understand why everyone is freaking out. If you have ever vomited before, you would realize she wasn't actually throwing up. It was all an act. She made no gagging noises at all while she was sticking her fingers down her throat. Second, no one's bile is that green. It must have been some kind of capsule in her mouth she was breaking. That being said, I wish Gaga was doing something a little more interesting than sitting at the drums during that dance break.

Even though I love every single song on ARTPOP (ok, not 100% on "Donatella", "Fashion!" or "Jewels 'N Drugs") and it's a great pop album, I stopped caring about the things she does. Watched the "Swine" performance and... I'm not distracted about the puke thing, but the things she said. Girl has some serious drug problems. I hope she'll be okay, finish the tour and get over this mess. Don't even need videos/singles, just need her to get her shit together. <3

LOLOL as if Gaga would let herself be covered in actual vomit. Homegirl is crazy...not insane. Please learn the difference.

This was actually great... whatever. She said "I'm on step #9". I'm patiently waiting, that's what my last post was about.
This is great. She "raped" "Bad Romance" but for some reason it turned out pretty good.

I don't understand why everyone is concerned about her mental state. When I'm alone at night I usually listen to my fave queens and grind on the walls and floor but I have days where I listen to a lot of rock and metal and pretend to be a rockstar. She just has more budget than I do. Does that mean I'm 'ill' too? lol Just let the girl be. I enjoy what she does 10000000%

Not to mention that she also has a chronic drug problem.

Well, it was SXSW, which is really big party, so I'll give her a little leeway for being obviously out of her mind wasted/high. But between this and the obviously erratic state of her career right now, I have an inkling of concern about her being able to make it through this tour.

It is weird...I actually love her music and really enjoy the groove. I just cannnot stand HER anymore. The diatribes of B.S. and contrived "artistic statements" are just tired. It is no longer "fun weird" like the stuff she was doing during the Fame / Fame Monster eras and some of Born this Way...now it is just so gross and off-putting. Like on her way to Madonnaville she took a wrong turn at the corner of Laurie Anderson Street and Wendy O'Williams Blvd.

Why can't she just give us normal and classy? Why did she have to get vomited on? Gaga please get it together child.

I watched the Swine performance and I have to say that I have to go back a bit on my comments. I was less grossed out at the act. I kind of got it, specially after reading comments on how it fits the lyrics to the song. Yes, it is gross but the song is also about gross stuff. And thinking more deeply I cannot be hypocrite and censor this performance while I accepted Madonna's tour performance of Gang Bang. GB was violently gross with killing and blood being displayed for artistic purposes considering the song's message. The 'artsy' vomiting is a metaphor of the song lyrics. It's as disgusting as what Gaga refers to in the song... And it makes us feel uncomfortable probably as uncomfortable as we should regarding the 'pigness' of the swine character. This may be the first time ever I can defend this I just wish she found other ways to do it that are less hardcore because I think it's quite a lot to handle especially for those who appreciate her as a controversial and edgy POP artist.

I don't think this incident will make people like her more. Maybe she's trying to get some kind of underground cred, but she should remember she is a pop artist (and a very good one at that). She should just embrace it, but I guess she doesn't want to during this era.

Btw, I am a huge Madonna-stan, but I have to admit, the Gang Bang performance disturbed me just as much as Gaga's puke performance.

Honestly, she was just in the spirit of helping keep Austin weird. Honestly though, it's a music festival. People want crazy s**t and to rage. In context, it's not as bizarre as everyone is making it out to be. It's not like this was on an awards show or majorly televised performance.

Just in case anyone is curious, Millie Brown is actually a professional artistic puker lol. You can see her puke painting right here www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dZ5BtZkIR4Apparently she uses a type of milk because it still tastes good coming back up and only does it once a month so she doesn't rip up her stomach and throat. Ok now I am for real done with puking. Her interview with Jimmy was actually pretty cute and I am somehow seeing good reviews for her performances last night. Also, she has been trending pretty regularly since last night so at least people are talking about her?

What I got from the show last night was that because it's sxsw, it's a fringe festival that caters to a particular audience. Gaga is a pop star that has, for the most part, been accepted by fans of indie music but has been moving away from their radar for the last few years. I think this performance was her trying to appeal to this audience, judging by the performance art that obviously most people won't like, and also her comments toward pop music and record labels. So it might not stick as far as her image goes unless she decides she wants to cater more to indie audiences and move further away from the pop persona, which I would be okay with. I'm more bothered with the prospect that she'd diminish the work and image that she'd previously embraced and worked for. That's why I felt her comments were conflicting because it sometimes seemed like she was going against what she was previously for. So I'm interested in getting some clarification from future performances and appearances to give an indication of where her head is at. As for the vomiting. Yeah, it grossed me out but it made sense for the song and it might be extreme for a pop star but it's hardly extreme for performance artists. I don't think anyone actually "likes" it but it comes down to you either get it or you don't. Saying you don't get why she has to do performances like that tells me you don't get it. The mistake is constantly and permanently equating Gaga as a pop star only. She continuously tries to prove she's not (though she also seems to sometimes maintain that she is..)...

I'm a bit late into watching her interview with John Norris, but it's really good. She's being very open and honest. Loved how she responded about the supposed rivalry with Katy Perry and the ARTPOP sales.
