I agree. Releasing first quarter is stupid. Hopefully the single is out September/October with a November/December album release.

I love the anticipation of the album title when a new era is hinted. Don't know why, but it's such a big part of the buzz for me. Plus I'm curious to see what title a nutjob like Gagz will come up with this time.

I really don't think that she talks about M, it sounds more like a gay rights speech.

But if she does, it's hardly classy to call someone you once referred as "the queen" "shady and cunty".

I don't think her speech was entirely devoid of Madonna reference; it's too coincidental. I do think she had other purposes for saying what she did, and included in that was probably her thoughts on the whole issue.

But yes, I do think she was classy in her speech if it was intended for a group of people. She didn't directly insult anybody and really, the worse thing she did was say that it makes people feel better sometimes to put others down (not exactly untrue).

She could always announce the album title the same time she releases the lead single. I think her label is shooting for a November release with the lead single in late September.

I REALLY cannot see them announcing an album title in September and then missing all holiday sales by releasing in the insanely slow doldrums of January/February. I don't get why a new album is crazy by the end of the year anyway. It would be a year and a half since BTW when a lot of pop stars have been pumping them out every year or every year and a half. She has been recording for months and apparently has a full cd right now approved by her label. She also hasn't had an active radio hit in six months and by the time a new single comes out probably closer to 8-9 months without an active radio hit. It isn't exactly a crazy timeline EXCEPT for how the tour will play out.
I am not sure what the new album name means. Artists have released first singles and not had an album name yet ha ha. On the flip side, album names have come out months in advance of a first single. I am still hoping for a late 2012 release.

Releasing a single at the end of the year and the album next year would be a disaster. That would put her on track for a January or February album release date, and labels know those months are the kiss of death for album releases. Not to mention, it means the artist is releasing a single right in the middle of year-end countdowns and pre-recorded programming.
