Dubstep slays. It may become the next Pop trend. LOL Dubstep has been Pop's trend for...well over a year now. If anything, Pop is looking for a new trend. Dubstep breakdowns are played out. There haven't been that many dubstep tracks in Pop music. The tracks w/dubstep breakdowns or little dubstep sounds are just the beginning of the whole movement in America. That & it looks like House music too.

Lady Gaga Age: 26 Pay: $52 million Last year's top celeb on our Celebrity 100 slides from No.1 on our list due to a lack of touring, but stays near the top because of her tremendous social media influence. With over 24 million followers, she's the world's most popular Twitter user; her 50 million Facebook fans are more than any other celebrity aside from Eminem and Rihanna. Thanks to multiple older hits as well as her latest album, Born This Way, the singer-songwriter still makes plenty of money off of music sales. www.forbes.com/pictures/mfl45kilk/lady-gaga-5/#gallerycontentOnly behind Taylor Swift ($57), Justin Bieber ($55), and Rihanna ($53). Taylor and Rihanna benefited from touring and endorsements from perfume, Covergirl, etc. Does Gaga have anything like that? I know perfume soon, but anything currently? Didn't say anything about Justin other than his helping to start up Spotify and a few other things. Hard to believe Gaga made that much from music alone... Especially considering Adele was less than her...

I do not understand anyone wanting to hanging out with Lohan. Michael K is the best gossip person out there. No one is safe with him. www.dlisted.com/2012/07/13/trinity-terrorQ: "Why did every L.A. area drug dealer tell me they were all out of the bad shit when I called each and every one of them on Tuesday night?" - Charlie Sheen A: Lindsay Lohan, Lady GaGa and Lana Del Rey had a slumber party at the Chateau Marmont. The end. William Shakespeare is somewhere up in heaven, slapping himself in the face with his quill pen for being born in the wrong time period, because this right here is more terrifying than any three witches scene from Macbeth. X17Online via (via Digital Spy) says that the Chateau Marmont almost crumbled into a million pieces from the weight of bloated egos, mountains of cocaine, polyester weaves and plastic lip jelly in one room. A source says that Lady CaCa, LiLo and Llama Del Meh (aka The Evil Ls) had dinner in the garden before going up to a room to "play dress up, watch old movies and play board games." You should've read that last part while making air quotes, because that's obviously just fuckedupmess code for whiskey enemas, gargling coke with their nostrils and passing out in a puddle of vomit ("Try to pass out in your own!" - tip of the night from LiLo). Earlier in the night, LiLo tweeted "#skinnysnack1" (translation: #cooooooooke1) at CaCa and CaCa tweeted a picture of a cucumber on the bar. I don't even want to know what they did with that cucumber, but my thoughts and condolences go out to its family, because it can't be easy knowing that its last moments were painful, disgusting and involved lots of toxic body fluids. If this story is true and isn't just a piece from a horrific fanfic, then it was probably the most boring and annoying threesome ever. Spaced out Lana Del Rey slow danced with a floor lamp all night while CaCa and LiLo melted the paint on the walls by talking non-stop, over each other, about their (f)art. Still, I hope this never happens again, because the world does not need the second coming of the West Hollywood Three. Here's LiLo leaving a restaurant last night and ho should be using her hands to hold down the top of her head instead of covering her face, because her scalp is practically falling off. Lady CaCa should be ashamed of herself. Bitch snorted up a patch of LiLo's hair when a little coke got on her head.

I guess a few endorsements and all of BTW's success basically fell in the same year=that much money? It is crazy she can make that much money without really having tour dates which usually makes up most of the cash. I wonder how much she will make in the next year when we have more endorsements/perfume, new cd, and the bulk of her tour.

She'll be #1 again. Madonna will probably be 2nd. It could switch around, with Madonna probably making more money on the tour, but Gaga will most likely make way more from other things (new album?!?!, singles, perfume!, other endorsements?, does she make money from the little monsters social site too?, etc.) Gonna be crazy. Blow this past years' numbers out of the water. I guess a few endorsements and all of BTW's success basically fell in the same year=that much money? Madonna will easy pass GaGa on world tour sales..it wont even be close..Madonna will be at 214 million and that not even including South America or Australia, and chances are there will be a 2nd leg of the tour...im more worried about Madonna breaking her own record at 408 milllion.

And you think Gaga's not going to come close to that at all? She's grossed 67 million so far, and still has Europe and a tiny part of Africa planned. US dates still aren't announced, and the Monster Ball Tour was crazy long, as I imagine this one will be.
Madonna's prices are way higher, allowing for more money, obviously. She could sell more tickets as well, but to say it's not even going to be close is a little naive.

The fact that Gaga's even giving Madonna a run for her money in terms of touring revenue is insane.

So Gaga has more dates but charges less and Madonna charges more but has less dates? It should be a nice competition to see who comes out on top.

Honestly, though, with Gaga having not announced NA dates, Madonna (Gaga too) possibly doing 2nd legs, etc. it's just impossible to guess who will do better. I still think Madonna will make more money, but Gaga making so much is just craaazy.

Well its expected that Gaga would make so much. I am waiting to see how she evolves in five years or so. It should be interesting.

Previous tours: Madonna: $407,713,266 / 3,545,899 people = $115 per ticket Gaga: 227,400,000 / 2,500,000 people = $91 per ticket.
Using 2012 inflated prices (Madonna $441,673,561; Gaga $234,935,148) we get $125 for Madonna and $94.
I thought Madonna's tickets were waaay more expensive than Gaga's, but it's not a huge difference. Idk what the current prices are, though.

It is insane that Gaga is even being mentioned as a threat. Typically legendary artists who have been in the game forever have the highest paying tours. They have firmly adult audiences who can afford expensive tickets and decades of hits that can lure various audiences. If you look at most successful tours of the year the pop tarts that are fairly young usually do not beat the older touring acts (Madonna and then some rock bands that always make like, ungodly amounts and then like...U2 when they toured ha ha). It usually takes awhile to get a strong enough fan base to gross competitive numbers with the top touring acts in the world. It is unfathomable to me that in 2 or 3 cds (one of which is deemed a flop by some ) she is making this much money on tour. Like, almost unheard of. I have no idea why either-like, why she isn't having a more normal trajectory. I hope she makes it while she can and gets so rich that even if she never has a hit again she can fund new cds for us forever I just checked and in 2009 she wasn't even in the top 50 for tours. So that means in basically 2 years she somehow made herself one of the top touring artists out there :o I always forget just how QUICKLY she became this big.

It's really not that insane if you think about it. Gaga has pretty much toured now stop since her debut. She has grown a lot since then. I actually expected this to happen. Always touring & doing sometype of promo.
Someone in here brought it up about how she'll do in the next 5yrs. That will be interesting to see if she'll continue selling out areans like today.

To me it is insane because we literally saw numbers we have never seen before in musical history. Whenever someone does something that we have literally never seen before it is amazing to me. Not just good numbers or great numbers, but literally unfathomably huge numbers that no debut artists (and most do promote and tour non-stop) even come close to. If someone predicted back in 2009 that she would literally rewrite history when it comes to tour numbers I want that person to give me a psychic reading RIGHT NOW.
If she can maintain a great touring base she will always be fine. Of course, I think for long-term sustainability she needs a few more hit cds under her belt. I also hope she works on her performances a bit. She used to be the best in the game, but I feel like something was off about almost every performance I saw from her during a good portion of the BTW era. Some of them disappointed me.
*Disclaimers-I realize that we don't have numbers for some tours especially older ones. So I guess I should say of the numbers we have and that really only became super accurate more recently. Also, I realize other factors may be playing a part in this (not touring as much or whatever for certain artists in their first two years). Still find it pretty amazing :)

She surprised us with the Fame, the artistry and outlandish performances. Now itsn't isnt as much as a surprise and she went darker rather than quirky. I loved the performances still, they were just different.
