One thing I love about Gaga is how much I have NO idea what this new album will be like or the first single or what look she has or what anything will sound like or what random shit she may have waiting for us. It could literally be ANYTHING.

Lady Gaga has registered three new song titles via BMI, the royalties and publishing association, which means that her new album is quickly coming together. Gaga has been sharing drips and drabs of information about ARTPOP, but this info leaked online and not via Gaga herself. The song titles are as follows: " Candy Art," " Cold Hearted Bitch" and " CRWTH." One can only assume that these songs will appear on her new album ARTPOP, as they are newly registered. We like them so far. ARTPOP is due in 2013. What do you think of these three song titles? —Carly Costello 09.13.12 www.artistdirect.com/entertainment-news/article/lady-gaga-song-titles-surface/10230305

She replied on Twitter "not true" regarding those song titles but she could just be mad that they got out. I guess if she's recorded a song entitled Ratchet anything is possible.

THAT VIDEO IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO EPIC! I do wish it had been a proper music video and not just an extended commercial. I love it anyway.

There's supposed to be a director's cut too. Maybe that's got the full song? I highly doubt it, though. I can still hope haha.

If after watching that video there are still people who want her to go back to her Fame look then they should visit a therapist. That was epic/legendary/iconic :'(

I saw the whole ad last night on the stream, and I love it so much. It's so darn good. GaGa continues to impress me. :)

So... if I got that correctly, it's basically her having a wet dream about being consumed, destroyed, or some other unsettling outcome of her own fame?
I want to like it, because it's visually stunning and there's a lot to mill over, but it feels like she's making a lot of different statements about her idea of "Fame" without really piecing it together, then tacking on a modest mention of her perfume at the end. Nevermind the fact that literally nothing else about it had to do with the fragrance (which, incidentally, smelled much better than people have been making it out to). It's a big budget visual affair that doesn't really land. I get that it's more or less supposed to be just a promo, but if she's gonna do the absolute most...

It's visually incredible but....

Rise and fall of the pop star? I danced around that idea but having this swarm of men that literally can not get enough of her in the end lead me to think otherwise. Even if that is the case, it's still structured poorly. I think it's more of a collection of intermingled concepts about Fame itself that she's trying to put out there -- a little early for a nod back at The Fame Monster and it's focus on the "dark side" of pop, but I digress-- but cramming it into 5.5 minutes and throwing them all out at once makes it look more like visual vomit than anything. I will give her this though, it's certainly going to get some discussion going. I hope this look isn't indicative of her next era. As I already said, it reminds me too much of The Fame Monster in both style and approach, and although I loved that, I'd like to see her do something, well, she hasn't done before.

The director's cut apparently has her massacre all of those men in the end.
That still doesn't make me understand anything better.

Because then it become self indulgent, and art for arts sake, in which case she should have just made a college of scenes and pieced them together.
She however has established that there is a theme/story to all of this, thus it making sense in some way is important.

Why does everything need an explanation? Art it understanding. It can be viewed as the medium to a deeper message. If this was a Ke$ha video, I'd be right there with you, but it's Gaga. I'm sure there's a lot more to this than visual appeal, and I think it's safe to assume we've already arrived at what those things might be, now it's just a matter of making them make sense in context. Not everything does "need" an explanation, but if she's going to go this far, I think it deserves one. Feel free to disagree, but there's your answer.

Why does everything need an explanation? Even though the above explanation that Kunt so eloquently provided is most likely what it really is about, we all will interpret and instill different meanings into what we have seen in that same video. Doesn't mean any of us are right/wrong.

I think my brain is starting to piece together what ARTPOP is going to be based on those outfits.

Well, she already has copied "Express Yourself," may as well go for the other top pop star of the late 80's early 90's! :)

I'm sorry, she looks like a clown. The only thing she could do now to shock and get people talking would be to tone it down and make it about the music.
