Plus when you factor in her album sales for The Fame and The Fame Monster, her singles sales are just :O

I hope her next cd is really successful and puts her over 50 million digital sales and 10 million album sales Shouldn't be too hard especially if we cheat and count the remix album that somehow sold like, 300K+ randomly LOL.

I think her next CD will have no trouble getting to 1 million. Everything else will probably have to do with how good the album actually is.

Pretty impressive! I love that last picture too. She seems like she would be fun to have a slumber party with.

Gaga has just been announced as the second most played radio artist of 2011 in the UK, after Adele. Good for her! Source

I love how her perfume isn't a flowery girly fantasy cutesy thing. I don't wear perfume, but I am more interested in trying this one just to see how it smells.

Surprised at her UK radio play considering BTW and the singles weren't huge performers.

Surprised at her UK radio play considering BTW and the singles weren't huge performers. I'm thinking that a good amount of airplay came from past hits like Bad Romance, Poker Face, Just Dance, and related hits as well. Of course, Born This Way and The Edge of Glory were decent hits too and probably did really well on airplay over there too.

After I posted that I instantly thought that as well.
I hope her next album is big over there and can outsell BTW (has it hit the 1mill mark even?)

If it's not there yet, it is really close and will definitely hit a million by the end of the year. As of January, she already sold almost 900,000 albums. She'll be there to tour in September so that should boost sales.

Bear in mind that 900,000 copies is triple platinum in the UK.
"Born This Way" peaked at #2 in airplay in the UK and spent weeks and weeks at #3 after that. "Judas" peaked at #15. "The Edge Of Glory" spent two weeks at #4. "You And I" spent two weeks at #12. "Marry The Night" also peaked at #12. On top of that she might be getting credit for Tony Bennett's "The Lady Is A Tramp", which peaked at #56.

jam.canoe.ca/Music/2012/06/16/19885591-wenn-story.htmlArticles like this annoy me because in the subject, it says she's "planning" on recording a CD with Tony Bennett but nowhere in the article does it say anything beyond a desire or hope to. There's a vast difference between "I want" and "I am planning".

Lady Gaga @ladygaga Just woke up to emails saying South African monsters crashed the online ticket servers due to high demand for TheBTWBall! I cant believe it! Gaga's Twitter... South Africa. Touring legend of this generation. Just an update for anybody looking for them, Gaga has added two shows to tour South Africa, one in Cape Town and one in the FNB Stadium/Soccer City.

I absolutely MUST see her when she tours the states next year. I missed both of her shows in Pittsburgh last time.

I've been informed that, according to Mediatraffic, Born This Way has exceeded 6 million in worldwide sales due to the touring effects boosting her album sales significantly. It could be possible that after all is said and done with her touring effect, her sales next year could land between 7 and 8 million sold worldwide. Wonderful. :) I'm also going to drop a few rumours in here about the next album. As far as I know, the source has a history of leaking true information, so... enjoy, Operation Gaga is my source. - She will work with RedOne again. Is very clear that she does not want to make any more songs like Just Dance/Poker Face/Judas. - Album will be lighter in sound, but just as serious in lyrical content as BTW. Album is about death and decay. Not primarily focused on gay rights. - No Beyoncé collab - 13 tracks on the album. DJWS and Fernando produced the majority of the tracks. RedOne only has 1-3 tracks. - Lyrics are darker than BTW, but music is poppier and brighter. Yin & Yang concept. Songs similar to BTW & EOG. - New era won't be as "shocking" as previous ones. She wants to gain respect of general public again. No singles like Judas or Alejandro. Again, this was emphasized.

No more 'Judas'? :'( I suppose. Extremely dark concepts w/a lighter & fluffier production? I wonder if this come true & how it'll turn out. Sounds like she want the massive hits but also the critics on her side.

WOW @ Rolling Stone ranking Born This Way ahead of any Madonna album. - Lyrics are darker than BTW, but music is poppier and brighter. Yin & Yang concept. That sounds like something I'd be VERY into.

Sounds like she's doing what I want: be somewhat more radio/public-friendly to get big airplay and sales, while still being Gaga and most likely pushing the boundaries of pop music again. :'(

Those pictures from Sydney in the car gave me a Mimi impression :)
She's been looking great, I love this more toned down and sophisticated look on her instead of the schoking value costumes.

While this is a solid list of albums, the "rankings" component is absurd. Magazine journalists seem to have this fetish with unnecessarily ranking things instead of simply discussing them. They also always want to be overly inclusive with these rankings to appease as many readers as possible. So these sort of lists invariably have some shocking inclusions and omissions. This is supposedly a list compiled by some sort of critical and commercial metric. But let's look closely here. On one hand, we have PJ Harvey and Björk who were the two most critically-lauded female artists of '90's with one rather low mention (with albums that arguably were not even their most respected). On the other hand, we have commercial juggernauts like Beyoncé & Gaga who are ranked surprisingly high for albums that were neither massive commercial nor critical success stories for them. This makes not one iota of sense. Let's just call this "ranking" by its appropriate name: Rolling Stone's list of "50 Albums from Female Artists You Must Hear." There's no reason to give this illusion of some formal selection process taking place to compile a definitive top 50. Anyway, it's good to see Born This Way being appreciated (even if it's one of this list's many head-scratchers). I do think it is an under-appreciated album that had some miscues in how it was presented to its audience.
