So amazing to see "Radioactive". This is definitely one of my favorite songs from Imagine Dragons. I thought it reached atop on your weekly chart BTW, I really like the part of your comment when you said that this is going to be a classic for them PS. 0/8. Go me!

#7 - This took a minute for me to grow into, but once I did it stuck on my chart, it was also the #1 song by a band this year. (But it couldn't beat Macklemore's songs, which is a duo, so they're in the same category)

"Thrift Shop" is the first single of the rapper-producer duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis from their album The Heist. It entered the chart in December, 2012 and reached #1 on the first chart week of 2013 where it stayed for 3 non-consecutive weeks. It charted for a total of 33 weeks, 28 of those counts towards the Year-end chart. It's almost tied with "Can't Hold Us" if I count the first few weeks as well. When I heard the song for the first time I was not sure if I like it. The horns were the element I remembered the most and the guest vocalist of course.

That was my #1 song of the year...an astonishing 15 weeks at #1 on my top 20 chart and 42 weeks on the chart, LOL

YES! "Radioactive" is definitely going to be a classic and I'm so glad to see it that high. Great longevity. Also glad to see "Thrift Shop".

#6 - I loved it when it first came out, so different lyrically, and production was gold (thanks Ryan!) Then came the radio overplay and then I kinda got sick of it, but once it died down, I loved it yet again!!!! :) Great choice

"Can't Hold Us" is the second single of the rapper-producer duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis from their album The Heist. It entered the chart on the week of February 16, 2013 and reached #1 for a week on the chart of May 4, 2011. It spent an impressive 14 weeks in the top ten, one of the longest this year. Charted for a total of 34 weeks and almost passed the first single, "Thrift Shop" in chart points during their whole chart run. It's a real "feelgood song", you feel like you're on the top of the world while listening to it. Best driving song ever.

5 - Liked this song, then it was overplayed, and then it spent a ton of weeks @ #1 on my chart, so it burned out, but during my year-end countdown, I listened to it again, and I liked it again!

Two Macklemore & Ryan Lewis songs together. Really glad that "Can't Hold Us" outpeaked "Thrift Shop", despite I really like both tbh.

"Mirrors" is the second single from Justin Timberlake's third studio album. It entered the chart on the week of February 23, 2013. It reached #1 six weeks later where it spent four consecutive weeks. Charting for a total of 38 weeks is an impressive feat that contributed to the high position on the year-end chart. I loved the song on the first listen, it just blew my head off. I prefer the 8 minutes long version because I get more awesomeness.

10. Not the biggest fan, it's kinda boring to me tbh. 9. I like this song. I got sick of it kinda fast though 8. It's good, but not great, it's a little boring (imo). 7. Love this song, never got over it, my number 1 of 2013. 6. At first I hated it, then For awhile I liked it, Then I started hating it again (lol). 5. I like it a lot better than 6, I enjoyed it for a while. 4. I Also love this song, although its too long (lol), I would skip it after 4-5 minutes.

SPOILER ALERT! Scroll past quickly if you don't want to see what probably should be quite obvious are the top three!
It's pretty obvious that it will be:
#3: Blurred Lines #2: Applause #1: Just Give Me A Reason (Longevity Champ)

Yess "Mirrors"! And I agree that the 8-minute version is way better than the radio edit.

"Applause" is Lady Gaga's lead single from her 4th major release. It debuted at #2 on the week of August 17, 2013 and jumped to #1 the week after where it stayed for 7 consecutive weeks. It was the fastest to go 2X, 3X and 4X platinum and will likely break the next record sometimes in January. It spent a total of 20 weeks on my chart, but it's still charting likely to become the most successful single released in 2013. I get why some people don't like it, but it really is an amazing tune imo. The verses were weird on the first listen but now I love everything about it. The chorus is a killer - especially the harmony and the ad-libs.

#3 - I don't like this song tbh! The vocals are not the best, and it's just a little too trying-too-hard-to-be-popular-again!

Sorry, it just struck the wrong chord with me, I will admit it did grow on me quite a bit though. I just didn't understand that made-up term. It's totally okay not to like certain songs, we're not a fascist, force-standardized community.

"Blurred Lines" is Robin Thicke's breakout song that also features T.I. and singer/producer Pharrell Williams. It entered my chart on the week of April 13, 2013 - in the top 30, but didn't reach the top ten til my birthday in May. It topped the chart on the week of June 15, 2013 where it stayed for 3 non-consecutive weeks and there were 4 weeks between its 2nd and 3rd week at top which puts it at the third longest gap between weeks at #1 ever. It spent a total of 29 weeks on my chart. It's tied with "Applause" for the most weeks in the top ten this year, but its longevity outside of it was crap. Pharrell helped Robin making his own "Got To Give Up" and it is a great song even with its rapey lyrics.
