The album as a whole is pretty damn good. I think I actually prefer it to Up All Night, although there's nothing here that I love quite as much as 'What Makes You Beautiful'. I'm still surprised that they're going with 'Little Things' as the second single, especially since it's the worst song on the record. There are several better single choices.

Rock Me for single #2. Ignore buzz single Little Things.

Okay so it's nothing ICONIC or anything but with the exception of those f**k-ass Ed Sheeran tracks it's actually better than their debut.

Man the CD is incredible! A great growth from the first album! Radio will love some of these tracks if the right ones are released.

I think this album will probably grow on me. Their first did too. "Heart Attack" and "Rock Me" are my early favorites.

I like it! I still think their debut is better though. I might just need some time to get over the awful Ed-Sheeran-sound-a-like tracks. Why did anyone think it was a good idea for them to mimic him?

I'm on "Back For You" right now and I like this probably more than Up All Night, and I was very pleasantly surprised by that. Hopefully they make the right single choices (hint: NOT "Little Things").
I love Ed Sheeran's album, but I don't love his contributions as much as I thought I would. Jamie Scott's is unsurprisingly good.
Who's the one that sings at the end of the second verse of "Over Again" and the "I wanna live while we're young" before the final chorus of LWWY? I dislike his voice. :/
Oh, also, the production on "Change My Mind" sounds a lot like Maroon 5's "Daylight" to me. Hopefully that isn't released as a single soon or there may be some feathers flying, hehe.

On first listen this is a better album that Up All Night. So many potential singles here including Rock Me,I Would,Kiss You and Heart Attack. Little Things is nice but should no be released as a single. Cant wait to puschase my copy next week. Hoping that management stretch this era out with so many great songs. The boys are on the first X Factor Results show this Thursday singing Live While We're Young and Little Things then recording Ellen the next day before rehearsing for their two day mini-concert event on Today show next week.

I am OBSESSED with I Would. A pretty solid effort. I'd call it PERFECT, if they had dropped Little Things. Just not feeling it AT ALL!

"I Would" is by far the best song on the album and it could be a smash!

"They Don't Know About Us" screams boyband in the best way (and Zayn would slay it live lbr). "Summer Love" is adorable af too, but my favorites are definitely "Rock Me" and "Back for You". "C'mon, C'mon" is another cute one. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they chose the first two singles, because they're among the album's worst songs. "Over You" is another shitfest and "Change My Mind" is clearly just filler. A few listens later and I still think it's better than their debut, though unfortunately there's nothing as great as "What Makes You Beautiful" or "One Thing" this time around.
And yeah Louis should just shut up and look... away.

There isn't much good I can say about the album at the present time but one thing is established: vocally, the rest of the group is constantly outshone by the future priest of pop himself, Zayn Malik.

Previewed the album. There are definitely better choices for the second single than "Little Things". If that does end up being released following the underperforming first single, I fear for the overall success of this era.
Btw, is it true that Louis recently said that people insinuating that he has gay relations with fellow bandmates are not real fans? lol Since many of you might be in that category, I'm curious to see how you feel about that.

There's way too much Zayn on this, idk what the producers were thinking. Liam is supposed to be the first verse man. He has the best voice, anyway. Zayn can stick to being the Melody Thornton of 1D.

LOVE IT! Overall, on first listen, better than Up All Night. Their sound has definitely matured over the last album. "Rock Me" really stood out to me.

I'm really enjoying the album. The lyrics on the Ed Sheeran songs are awful but... they're Ed Sheeran songs. They haven't got any better at not mimicking demos - the Sheeran songs could be Sheeran, the McFly song could be McFly - but that was the case on Up All Night too. It's another solid pop record and I'm completely obsessed with "I Would". They can't be serious releasing this as a single, can they? Has it officially been determined? It's an okay album track, but a second single? Lol no. Way too boring and sappy for radio. I know there was a lot of controversy on here about "Little Things" being the second single, but if nothing else I can see the logic. - It's One Direction doing an Ed Sheeran song - that's an instant hit in the UK for a start.
- If the One Direction and Ed Sheeran fanbases were a venn diagram they'd be a circle. If nothing else it's like a gift to their fans.
- The second single ballad from their first album wasn't even released in the US so you can't guarantee "Little Things" will be.
- Saying that, I think Pulse is underestimating its hit potential in the US. "The A Team" is finally starting to really explode - they can ride its coattails if it becomes a huge hit and I imagine that's why they recorded it and what they're waiting for to release it. One Direction need their next single in the US to be something really different from "What Makes You Beautiful", "One Thing" and "Live While We're Young" and a big, sloppy "Gotta Be You"-style ballad would flop, so the obvious choice is something light, acoustic and guitary considering that songs like that are actually in at the moment.
Btw, is it true that Louis recently said that people insinuating that he has gay relations with fellow bandmates are not real fans? lol Since many of you might be in that category, I'm curious to see how you feel about that. 'I think there's a fine line between being a slut and being classy. I walk in between that line.' - Katy Perry Since you're a slut, I'm curious to see how you feel about that.

Rock Me and I Would have to be singles in that order. I will be heartbroken if they are wasted like Tell Me A Lie and Stole My Heart were on Up All Night.

For the record: November 16 is the radio delivery date, not the adds date (there isn't one yet).
