For the record: November 16 is the radio delivery date, not the adds date (there isn't one yet). I thought that meant the same thing. Oh well good its the single!

For the record: November 16 is the radio delivery date, not the adds date (there isn't one yet). I thought that meant the same thing. Oh well good its the single! Nope; the radio delivery date means that's the day stations will digitally receive it, which means at that point they can download, audition, and start spinning it if they'd like. The adds date is a target date where stations are suggested to look at adding the single into rotation that week; sometimes stations start giving early spins without an adds date as well (such as fun.'s "Some Nights," which never got an adds date if I remember correctly). Hope that clarifies things; anyone else, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Finishing the album now. "They Don't Know About Us" is excellent. "Rock Me" is okay, I didn't go crazy over it like this post seems to.
I'm definitely on board with "I Would" like the rest of this post, except there was a line in that song where I almost vomited because it was so dumb, they said "I can't compete with your boyfriend.......... he has 27 tattoos!"
I'm still not sure why they ever give louis solos.
There are no "What Makes You Beautiful" stand outs. That WILL remain their signature song.
"Little Things" has grown on me a shitton. Harry's solo is outstanding. Zayn sounds good as usual. louis' part just kills me because I want to edit it out...haha I think "Kiss You" is a good follow up using "Little Things" as a nice buzz single. Tho what will this mean for "This Kiss" ??? LOL
I like the album overall, but I don't think I'm going to like it more than "Up All Night."

I just don't want 1D's WMYB be their "MMMBop" to the extent where it is their only signature song to make it on radio to the huge extent it did. If that happens they will go the way of Hanson and be gone within a year or 2. Even tho Hanson is still a popular club act today, they never did or will have an "MMMBop" again cause it was so huge and polarizing. I don't want 1D to share that same fate.

Billboard posted a very positive review of the album and loved Kiss You most of all.

Got my copy (deluxe edition) and on one listen, I'm disappointed. There is a little more variety than there was on Up All Night and I appreciate that, but I was hoping for more variety in terms of venturing further into dance-pop and/or dubstep, something that could produce hits and help solidify their career as something more than a one-hit-wonder fad like Hanson, rather than flop filler ballads that are just as useless as the midtempos Rihanna insists on tacking onto her albums. I would have liked the uptempos to be less formulaic as well (and working with different producers would've solved that – look at "Rock Me" and "Stole My Heart", two of their very few tracks varying from their usual team), but I guess that's too much to ask for.
"Rock Me" is by far my favorite track. It's fresh, it's different and it's fun and catchy – just what I wanted. My other favorites (in no order) are the lead single, "C'mon, C'mon", "I Would", "They Don't Know About Us" and "Over Again", but as good as those songs are, they really don't compare to the heights on their debut. I don't find this album to be as consistent either, though removing "Little Things" which is easily the worst song would elevate that by so much.
Overall, I give this album a B (would be B minus but I hate giving in-between grades), down from the A grade I gave to Up All Night. This is a good album and if their label isn't full of idiots they might manage a radio hit or two, but I just feel like more time and effort should have gone into their make-or-break second album, especially since they let "One Thing" flop and ditched the potential lying in "Stole My Heart" and "Tell Me A Lie" in favor of jumping straight to this. If this album era flops (and I'm already preparing for the worst) I hope it'll encourage them to switch it up next time around instead of just producing more of the same and relying on their pre-existing stanbase. I'm aware that expecting a long-lasting career from 1D is just delusion, which is why I want the music to be as good as possible and the huge hits to be present before they inevitably fade and/or break up.

Think 'I Would' really could be their 'Call Me Maybe' of the album if it was released as a single. It is the 'poppiest' and most 'fun' song on there.

The more I listen to "Rock Me" I am thinking releasing LWWY as the first single instead of this was a big mistake! "Rock Me" followed by "I Would" instead of LWWT followed by "Little Things" could have made a difference in first week sales by a few hundred thousand and they would never had stalled at #15.
"Kiss You" is a good compromise tho. Hopefully the next singles will be RM and IW.

Simon Cowell has stated that there are six songs on this album that would make good singles so I am hoping that they do actually get round to releasing Rock Me and I Would which are the two best tracks on there.

The Target special edition doesn't have the four Yearbook bonus tracks. Instead it has three bonus tracks of its own. So there are seven bonus tracks in all (four on the Yearbook, three on the Target SE).

There are also live versions of "One Thing" and "I Wish" on the Target track listing, so it's five exclusive bonus tracks. :) Not that anyone cares about those live tracks though lol.

For what it's worth the Japan edition is meant to have the yearbook bonus tracks as well as the Target ones if anyone wants to buy that instead.
