Is this going to be another week where streaming makes all the difference? The sales leaders are all way behind in airplay, while the airplay leaders are sinking in sales. CMM is set to lose its Olympics bump, but the streaming chart looks, if anything, more conservative than airplay (WAY is still #5!).

And then there's "Home." I have to wonder what radio's going to do with this one if its sales keep up (and I suspect they will). It's not exactly Top 40, but neither were "Someone Like You," "Somebody That I Used to Know," and so on.

"One Thing" is just way too similar to "What Makes You Beautiful." Plus, "One Thing" was released way too early.

This is why it's good "You Da One" was after "We Found Love" and not "Where Have You Been." One Direction's label should have taken note.

Well, yes, but I meant "Where Have You Been" would have underperformed following "We Found Love" because they sound too much alike to be released that close together, which is why I believe "One Thing" is underperfoming. IMO, the second single should have been a more urban leaning song like "Talk That Talk" or "Roc Me Out," as that's what helped "What's My Name?" become a huge hit.

I think One Direction is supposed to be releasing the lead single off their second album soon.

Their label stated that the era is over and has been considered so for awhile so we are lucky they even threw out a second single. They probably put literally no money or promo (not even insider radio pushes) into it. It makes sense-they are gearing up for a massive push with a second cd dropping really soon so I don't think a current hit from an old cd would be a good thing for them necessarily.
